Chapter 145 It's Better Not to Be You

When Natalie left the interrogation room, she felt the gaze of her father, Francis, on her. Her heart sank instantly. Clearly, Evelyn had made him suspicious.

"Dad, you don't believe that woman, do you? She's trying to drive a wedge between us." Natalie spoke first, regardless of whether her father believed or not, she had to say something.

Francis and did not respond.
Answer: However, his experienced eyes fell on Natalie, lost in thought.

Natalie continued, "Dad, now it's just the two of us in the Barns family. We must unite in order to continue the development of the Barns family!"

Francis seemed to be convinced and said in a deep voice, "It's best for you to have nothing to do with Kenny's affair. If I find out that you were..."

"Even if I have to give away the Barns family, I won't let it fall into your hands!"

After finishing, Francis left, and Natalie breathed a sigh of relief.

She looked at her father's departing figure, laughing. "Everyone is dead, who can prove that it's me?"

When I take over the Barns family, I will make sure to repay you for all these years of 'raising'!

On the internet, there were various discussions about Kenny's death, demanding that the police find the real culprit when possible.

This put a lot of pressure on the police, and Officer Rogers called Dermot several times, urging him to provide some evidence in favor of Evelyn, otherwise Evelyn might be handed over to the prosecutor's office.

Dermot was not idle either. Not only that, but he took the initiative to find Aidan Niall and share the information he had learned with them, in order to find evidence when possible.

Unfortunately, Natalie came prepared this time. After leaving the hospital, Evelyn followed those people until there were no more surveillance cameras, and then disappeared from the surveillance feed. They couldn't even find out how she got to the hotel.

the only hope lies with Niall.

The hotel's surveillance cameras were damaged afterwards, so if they could restore them, they would naturally know what happened that day.

"How much longer?" Aidan looked at Niall, who was continuously typing on the keyboard, his face filled with worry.

Niall continued typing and said, "I'm not sure, you know, my skills are not as good as Evelyn's. If it were her, it should be quick."

Niall deeply regretted his lack of skills. If he had known this would happen, he should have been more serious in the beginning.

"Do it when possible," Aidan said, knowing that Niall was anxious and didn't say much more.

Dermot was not idle.

He stood at the hospital entrance, where Evelyn was standing that day.

He didn't go to the hotel to look for clues because the police had searched countless times without any results.

Instead, he believed Evelyn and chose to look for clues here. He tried to simulate the route Evelyn walked that day, believing that if something happened, there would be traces left behind.

Several alleys led out of the hospital...

There is no surveillance here. No one knows which people Evelyn followed into that alley that day. Dermot doesn't know either.

Perhaps the heavens were helping him, because when he reached the third alley, Dermot found traces of a fight here, and confirmed that this was where Evelyn was knocked out and taken away.
