Chapter 1082: Stop Dreaming
Dermot thought he could easily take Joshua to the hospital, but once they left the study, Joshua started resisting.
"Dermot, you really think I'll go to the hospital with you? Keep dreaming," Joshua sneered, slumping down in the hallway.
Dermot was set on getting him to the hospital today. He wanted to show Evelyn the exam report and expose Joshua's lies.
But Joshua wouldn't get up, so Dermot had to lift him and drag him downstairs.
Joshua couldn't overpower him. No matter what, Dermot was getting him to the hospital.
As they reached the top of the stairs, Joshua suddenly laughed.
Dermot paused, confused. "You can still laugh? Your mindset is something else."
"Ever wonder why I called you over?" Joshua asked, looking calm, not panicked at all.
Dermot knew Joshua had a plan but couldn't figure out what it was.
"No matter your plan, you're coming to the hospital today!" Dermot said, dragging him down the stairs.
After a few steps, Joshua grabbed his hand. "Dermot, what do you think Evelyn would do if I fell from here?"
Dermot hesitated.
In that moment, Joshua struck, causing Dermot to let go. Joshua fell down the stairs.
Even though he could have stood up, Joshua went along with the fall.
As the sound of the fall echoed, Brandon appeared, eyes red, looking at Dermot. "Mr. Garcia!"
He ran over, picked up Joshua, and tried to leave.
But Dermot blocked him. "No one's taking him away today."
Things had escalated. Even knowing Joshua was scheming, Dermot couldn't back down. He had to take Joshua to a trusted hospital.
"Dermot! Are you trying to kill Mr. Garcia while Ms. Kyte is away?" Brandon accused.
Dermot stayed firm. "If you don't want him hurt, come with me!"
He couldn't let Brandon take Joshua to an unknown hospital.
"Dermot! Don't push it!" Brandon roared. If Dermot noticed, Brandon didn't seem that worried.
As they faced off, Brandon glanced at the door and raised his voice. "Dermot, you just want Mr. Garcia dead! You think he affects your relationship with Ms. Kyte, so you pushed him down the stairs!"
Dermot frowned, puzzled by Brandon's sudden anger. He looked around.
Then he saw Evelyn.
"What happened?" Evelyn's voice cut through. She saw Dermot's back and then noticed Brandon holding an unconscious Joshua.
