Chapter 475 Will You Return to the Kyte Family?

"I know everything," Evelyn said calmly, her tone indiscernible over the phone.

Aidan was about to ask what she knew, but before he could, something struck him, and he gripped the phone tighter,"About your origins?"

Evelyn hummed in affirmation. She had told Aidan in the hope of hearing something different, perhaps something she didn't know.

Aidan fell silent, his lack of response leaving Evelyn somewhat puzzled. "Aidan, tell me everything you know."

After another two minutes of silence, Aidan sighed, a hint of helplessness in his voice. "I knew that once you found out you weren't Grandpa's biological granddaughter, you'd be determined to clear things up. I just didn't expect you to do it so quickly."

He had thought it would take Evelyn a bit longer to uncover the truth. He shouldn't have underestimated his sister.

"I just want to understand everything. Grandpa will always be my grandpa, and you and Niall will always be my brothers," Evelyn said.

Aidan relaxed at her words, the familiar Evelyn he knew. He proceeded to share everything he knew with her, which wasn't much different from what Grandpa Dermot knew, and therefore not much of a revelation to Evelyn.

After Aidan finished, he couldn't help but ask,"Will you... go back to the Kyte family?"

He hoped she wouldn't. He had been keeping an eye on the Kyte family for years and knew that the family was far from the peaceful facade it portrayed, especially the woman Evelyn's father had married, who was no pushover. If Evelyn were to return, she would undoubtedly be wronged.

"Maybe. After all, I want to find out what really happened back then. Is my mother still alive?" Although Grandpa Doyle had said her mother was likely deceased, Evelyn still clung to a sliver of hope.

Besides, her father had been grooming her for years, which surely meant he had some plans. Even if she didn't seek him out, they might come looking for her soon.

But Evelyn preferred to take the initiative. She liked to control her own destiny, so she decided that once things settled down on her end, she would take the initiative to meet her father, whom she had never seen.

Aidan wasn't surprised by her decision. In fact, it was what he expected. "Don't rush. I'll be back soon and will go with you."

He didn't feel comfortable with Evelyn going alone.

"Okay," Evelyn didn't refuse, not wanting to disappoint Aidan's good intentions.

Moreover, since Aidan had decided to return, it meant he had worked things out. He was still her Aidan.

After hanging up with Aidan, Evelyn lay in bed, her heavy heart feeling slightly lighter. It was better to know everything than to be in the dark, wasn't it?

Evelyn gradually fell asleep, while downstairs, someone stood under a streetlight, looking up at the window of the room where she lay.
