Chapter 308 Difficult
Just as Dermot was about to speak, Keith interrupted, "You can't say anything. Until the plan succeeds, promise me that you won't tell anyone."
"Alright," Dermot didn't say anything, but he leaned close to Evelyn's ear and whispered softly, "When he's not around, I'll tell you."
"Okay," Evelyn covered her mouth and laughed softly.
Watching them, Keith was infuriated. "Don't think I didn't hear that!"
Evelyn smiled, finding Keith's anger quite amusing.
Not far away, Sarah was already walking towards them. Seeing this, Evelyn had to quickly say, "I don't care what kind of person you were in the past. Since you have decided to pursue Sarah, you must leave behind all those flirtatious intentions of yours."
"Keith, Sarah is not like those other women. If you dare to hurt her, I won't let you off lightly."
Hearing her words, Keith sneered at her, "You're still so young, why do you like to lecture people so much?"
"Keith!" Evelyn was slightly angry.
"Alright, alright, I understand," Keith pursed his lips and whispered, "I'm not just fooling around."
Keith had no shortage of women by his side. If he was just fooling around, he wouldn't have wasted so much time when Sarah repeatedly rejected his invitations.
Sarah arrived at the dining table and was somewhat surprised to see Dermot there. "Mr. Doyle is here too?"
"Sarah, you can just call me Dermot. Calling me Mr. Doyle sounds too unfamiliar," Dermot greeted her with a smile. Evelyn cared about him, so he naturally had to take it seriously.
Sarah nodded and didn't refuse, "Okay."
The four of them ate together, and throughout the meal, Dermot took care of Evelyn in every way possible. Sarah looked at them with satisfaction.
Keith also tried to pick food for her, but she was indifferent. "Mr. Kartland, there's no need to be so polite. I can do it myself."
"You're not calling him Mr. Doyle anymore, why are you still calling me Mr. Kartland? Can't we be more familiar like him?"
"Despite having met Sarah so many times, why does he still seem so unfamiliar? " Sarah felt embarrassed and said, "Sorry, it's a habit."
Keith suggested, "You can call me Keith, or even Keef."
Sarah became even more embarrassed, especially since Evelyn and Dermot were there watching. 'Alright, Keith,' she agreed. Hearing her change her address, Keith nodded in satisfaction and said, 'That's better.'
After finishing the meal, Keith suggested going shopping. Evelyn didn't refuse, considering that he had just agreed to reduce the rent.
She didn't want to lose face by leaving immediately. Evelyn could see through Keith's intentions, so she purposely created opportunities for the two of them while shopping. She and Dermot followed behind without interrupting.
Evelyn asked Dermot next to her, 'Do you think Keith can win over Sarah?' She was genuinely curious. Dermot looked at the interaction between the two in front of them and shook his head, 'It's difficult.' Evelyn agreed, 'Is that so? Then you share the same opinion as me.'
Evelyn believed that it would be difficult for Keith to win over Sarah because she knew Sarah well and understood the pain she had been through in the past, making it hard for her to trust another man. Especially considering Keith's reputation as someone who had been involved in numerous scandals, anyone would have to think twice. 'Did you agree to help him deal with the Kartland family?' Evelyn asked.
Dermot was surprised, 'How did you know?'
Evelyn nonchalantly replied, 'There's nothing difficult to guess about that.'
Evelyn didn't care about it, saying, 'The Kartland family is not in a good situation right now, and there are rumors about personnel changes. But if you look at Keith, he doesn't seem to be worried at all, which means he is in control of everything.'
Dermot continued, 'I've also noticed the improvement in his relationship with you. It's not hard to guess. I just can't figure out how he convinced you to help him.' Considering their past turbulent relationship, Dermot was skeptical about helping Keith.
