Chapter 678 Don't Ever Think About Escaping for a Lifetime

Chapter 678 Never Think of Escaping

Craig remained silent, thinking exactly that before he arrived.

Craig thought he had been good enough to Ruby, willing to give her whatever she wanted as long as she didn't consider leaving.

But Ruby was never satisfied, always considering leaving, which naturally made him uncomfortable.

Now, witnessing Ruby's unhappiness and loss of emotional control because of him, Craig belatedly realized the true impact he had on her.

"If I were willing to marry you, would you..."

"No!" Ruby interrupted Craig before he could finish his sentence.

Craig's face immediately paled, radiating a chilling aura. "Is it because you think I don't care about you, that I wasn't willing to marry you? I'm ready now. Why aren't you?"

"Craig, who do you think you are? Do you think everyone will wait for you in place, that as long as you make some changes, others will come back to you begging for mercy?" Ruby smiled, but her words were icy to Craig.

If Craig had been willing to make an effort from the beginning, even if they couldn't be public for the time being, Ruby wouldn't have been so angry.

However, Craig initially did nothing, simply stating he wouldn't make their relationship public or marry her, as he didn't hold Ruby in high regard himself.

Now, it was just about her escaping, possessiveness taking over, wanting her back.

It wasn't that simple.

She wasn't someone who could be summoned at will.

Ruby's words were too harsh; even though Craig came to compromise this time, Ruby's words made him forget his initial purpose.

"Ingrate, do you think you can escape from my hands just because you have Evelyn protecting you?" No one could stop Craig from achieving his goals, not even the ten great families.

From Craig's words Ruby knew Craig was preparing to lay hands on her again, her expression immediately turning ugly. "Craig, is it fun? Can't we say goodbye peacefully?"

"No!" He looked at Ruby. "I will decide when we part."

"You insist on this, don't you?" Ruby refused to keep compromising; she had seen through Craig. Even if she compromised now, Craig would not let her off the hook.

If that was the case, there was no need to compromise.

Let the chips fall where they may.

Ruby stood up, her gaze cold and devoid of love as she looked at Craig. "In that case, I'll see it through to the end," she declared before leaving.

Craig made no move to follow her. Instead, he remained seated, calmly sipping his coffee, appearing completely at ease.

But soon, Craig erupted in anger, overturning the tableware on the table.

Craig stared in the direction Ruby had left, his gaze dark. "You will never escape from my hands in your lifetime."

On Sunday, the engagement banquet.

The Kyte and Allen families, both among Golombia's top ten, drew a large number of guests to their wedding, creating a grand spectacle unseen in Golombia for many years.

At the entrance of the Golombia Grand Hotel, the Kyte family and the Allen family stood on both sides, welcoming guests.

Congratulations filled Blake's ears, leaving him with indescribable emotions.

His gaze shifted to Wade seated across from him. Throughout the banquet, Wade had displayed a cold demeanor, causing Blake's attitude towards him to plummet.

Despite no intention to cancel the cooperation, Blake feared that their relationship could mirror that of the Kyte family and the Roberts family after this collaboration.

He placed the blame solely on himself, acknowledging that it was all a result of his own selfishness.
