Chapter 246 Won't You Let Me Stay Overnight?

Evelyn understood what Dermot was saying, but she still felt uncomfortable in her heart. "Maybe, I just can't accept this change."

"Take your time, it's better to open your mind," Dermot said.

After finishing the dishes, Evelyn felt tired. She looked at Dermot, who had no intention of leaving the living room, and asked, "Aren't you leaving?"

"It's so late, won't you let me stay overnight?" the man said with a smile.

"What do you think?" she raised an eyebrow, her fist clenched as if she was about to punch.

Dermot backed away when he saw this, as if facing a great enemy. "Just kidding, I'll leave now."

He had walked towards the door. Evelyn felt a little guilty when she saw this, "If you don't want to go back to Doyle Manor, you can stay across the hall. I didn't mean for you to move out."

When the words left her mouth, Evelyn regretted it. Why did she say these things? Did she want to see him every day?

Dermot didn't know what she was thinking, but when he heard this, a smile appeared on his face. "Really? I'll move in across the hall, then. Are you not moving out?"

"Why should I move out? I bought this house with my own money, and I can live however I want," she said.

Dermot felt relieved. "That's great, then I'll move back later. it's much closer to the company here."

Living here meant he could see Evelyn every day, even have meals and chat together, which naturally helped deepen their relationship.

"Okay, okay, I'm going to sleep now. You can stay wherever you want," Evelyn waved him off, pretending not to see Dermot's hardly concealed smile.

Dermot left. Evelyn heard the sound of the door opening in the room across from hers and couldn't help but suspect that Dermot had planned to move back in all along, otherwise, how could he have keys tonight?

Well, whatever.

Evelyn headed towards the bathroom, took a shower, and fell into a deep sleep on her bed, while Dermot across the hall couldn't fall asleep so.

He looked at the dark walls and felt uncomfortable. It used to be his favorite decoration style, but now, he realized he didn't like it as much anymore.

he preferred Evelyn's warm and cozy decoration style.

Shaking her head, she didn't let dwell on these thoughts any longer. She got up and walked towards the bedroom. She decided to take a nap. Today, she was very tired.

Ruby Kite droves back home. From a distance, she saw a person standing at the entrance of her house.

As she approached, she noticed that the person was Craig, and her expression became serious. She couldn't control the nervousness that welled up inside her.

Ever since Evelyn rescued her from the remote villa in the mountains last time, she had had no contact with Craig. She had thought that this man would not appear in her life again, but she never expected...

The car stopped, and Ruby Kite made an effort to remain calm. She pushed open the car door and walked towards him.

Looking at Craig, Ruby Kite felt a kind of pain in her heart, but she didn't show it. Instead, she asked coldly, "What are you here for?"

"To see you," Craig said.

"To see me?" Ruby Kite seemed to hear a joke. "To see how well I'm doing without you?"

"If you want to see me miserable, then you will be disappointed. Without you, I can still live well," Craig replied.

Although everything that was happening now was not what she had expected, and although she still had feelings for the man, Ruby Kite...

She, Ruby Kite, was free and not anyone's possession, even if the other person was someone she liked.

"You seem to dislike me," Craig said, smoking a cigarette and looking at Ruby Kite, who was as cold as ice. He felt uncomfortable.
