Chapter 1042: This Is Provoking You

Aidan stood up. "Sure, I haven't really had a chance to enjoy this year's snow," he said.

"Okay," Joshua replied.

Brandon nudged Joshua, and the four of them left the villa, heading into the neighborhood instead of staying in the garden.

Joshua's villa was in an upscale area of Golombia, known for its great property management and landscaping. Despite the heavy snow, the paths were cleared, making it easy to walk around.

"Aidan, you don't see snow often either, right?" Evelyn asked. Aidan, like her, lived in Moris City but traveled a lot for work, so he had probably seen snow before.

Aidan nodded. "I've seen it, but never really took the time to appreciate it like now."

He was always so busy that even during heavy snowfalls, he would just rush by without stopping to enjoy the view.

"What about you, Joshua?" Evelyn looked at the man in the wheelchair.

Joshua smiled. "I've seen plenty of snow. When I was abroad, it snowed every year. Brandon and I used to have epic snowball fights."

Evelyn laughed. She couldn't imagine Joshua and Aidan having a snowball fight.

"If you..." Evelyn started but stopped herself.

She almost said that if Joshua hadn't been injured, they could have a snowball fight now. Luckily, she caught herself in time.

Joshua seemed to know what she was thinking. "If I weren't injured, I'd love to have a snowball fight with you."

"Maybe someday," Evelyn said, feeling a bit sad.

Aidan glanced at them but stayed quiet.

Dermot saw them walking and joined them.

"Evelyn," he greeted with a smile.

"Did you finish eating with Henry?" Evelyn asked.

Dermot nodded. "There were fewer people, so it was quicker."

"That's true. Mr. Doyle, we're looking forward to your party tonight. Don't let us down," Aidan said. He didn't dislike Dermot as much as before but still wasn't keen on helping with the party.

Dermot smiled. "Don't worry, Mr. Brooks. You won't be disappointed."

"Good to hear," Aidan said, turning away.

Joshua and Dermot didn't have much to say to each other. They weren't close before, and now even less so.

Dermot didn't mind and asked Evelyn, "Are you cold?"

"No, I'm wearing thick clothes," Evelyn said with a smile. She had worn a down jacket to enjoy the snow.

Seeing she was dressed warmly, Dermot stopped worrying.

"Evelyn, catch this!" They turned to see Niall holding a snowball, which he threw at Evelyn.

Evelyn tried to dodge, but Dermot pulled her behind him. "Niall's provoking you."

"I'll make him regret it!" Evelyn said, crouching down to make a big snowball. She was ready to show Niall what real regret felt like.
