Chapter 443 Not Blaming You, Blaming Myself

Evelyn was almost done with what she needed to do in Columbia. She had no intention of staying any longer. Mr. Hamilton was still unconscious, and she couldn't wait forever. After seeing Grandpa Doyle at the hospital, Evelyn told Greg that she was planning to return to Moris City.

"So soon?" Greg was surprised. He thought they would have some time to explore Columbia after finishing their tasks.

Evelyn nodded, "Things here are almost done, it's time to go back."

"I'm sorry for making you come all this way for nothing," Greg felt guilty. He didn't expect his grandfather to have an accident.

Evelyn waved her hand. "It's not your fault, it's mine. If I hadn't come, Mr. Hamilton Sr. wouldn't have gotten into trouble if it weren’t me." Evelyn felt guilty compared to Greg. Luckily, Greg didn't feel the same, otherwise Evelyn might have become enemies with him.

"I've already sent those people to the police station, and the other two have been taken away by the authorities. Don't worry, I won't let you suffer unjustly," Greg said.

Upon hearing this, Evelyn was somewhat incredulous. After all, they were his parents. Did he really send them to the police station?

Thinking about it, she said, "Actually, it's partly my fault. I should have explained everything to them from the beginning. If there were no misunderstandings, perhaps they wouldn't have done such things."

It wasn't that she was being too sympathetic, it was just that Greg's actions made her feel guilty. By coming to Colombia, she not only caused his grandfather to be hospitalized but also, was part of Greg's parents going to the police station. It seemed like she had brought misfortune upon them.

"They... after all, they are your parents. Out of respect for you, I won't hold it against them." Given the situation of the Hamilton family, Greg still needed people by his side. He obviously didn't care about these things.

He said, "You don't have to worry about these things, I'll handle it."

Not knowing what else to say, Evelyn simply nodded and said, "Alright then, I'll be on my way. You should go back to your business."

"Okay," Greg nodded, "When things settle down here, I'll come to Moris City to find you."

"Alright," she said, but Evelyn knew that Greg would probably have fewer opportunities in the future to wander around freely like before.

Before, he had Grandpa Doyle supporting him, but now... Sighing, she got into the car and left the hospital. Dermot was driving the car.

"Are we going straight to the airport?" he asked.

Evelyn nodded, not feeling very good, "How about you? Are you done with everything in Colombia?"

"Yeah, almost," Dermot replied.

If Todd were here, he would be saying to him “Mr. Doyle, what are you busy with? You're going straight to see Ms. Kyte upon landing, and it's always been me doing the busy work, isn't it?”

At the airport, Evelyn and Dermot boarded the plane together, with Todd coming late. Fortunately, he managed to take care of everything, otherwise, he would have been left behind. Although Colombia was nice, it wasn't his hometown. He still preferred Moris City more.

On the plane, Evelyn closed her eyes and pretended to sleep as soon as she got on board, but she wasn't really asleep. Instead, she was thinking about where she came from. With Mr. Hamilton unconscious now, who else could tell her the truth?

Aidan was definitely out of the question. If he wanted to tell her, he would have done so already. Other than Aidan... Suddenly, Evelyn thought of someone. Perhaps there was another person who could tell her.

She opened her eyes and looked at Dermot. Her gaze was so focused, and Dermot couldn't help but feel a chill down his spine.

"What's wrong?" he asked nervously.
