Chapter 447 Praying to God
Evelyn felt a bit worried. After all, rushing in like this could easily attract attention, and the other side had a gun. What if?
With these thoughts in mind, she also held back Dermot and said, "Don't go in, find a way to make him come out."
Dermot thought for a moment and thought it was a good idea. If they could make him come out, they could ambush him at the door, which would be even safer. After making a decision, Evelyn intentionally made some noise at the door, and Louis was quickly intrigued.
"Susie?" Without getting a response, Louis couldn't help but feel worried. Picking up the gun, he walked out.
Dermot and Evelyn hid on both sides of the cockpit, and when Louis reached the door, Dermot pounced on him, pinning him down. Bang! A gunshot rang out, startling everyone.
"Dermot!" Evelyn exclaimed.
Dermot waved at her, "I'm okay."
The bullet, thankfully, didn't hit Dermot. They both got Louis, quickly, tied up. There was trouble, in the cockpit, caused by the shot Louis had fired, and it wasn’t small. The plane had been hit somewhere, causing the autopilot to malfunction, and the aircraft began to descent uncontrollably.
"Let's check on the captain first," Evelyn quickly walked into the cockpit, thinking that if the captain was unconscious, she needed to wake him up.
However, things were not as easy as she thought. Susie, had really left herself no way out. The coffee she served to the captain had been laced, with poisoned. The captain was dead.
"What should we do now?" The flight attendant, seeing that the two hijackers had been subdued, also entered the cockpit, her face turning pale at the sight of the dead captain. Without the captain, at this speed, it wouldn't be long before they crashed.
Knowing it was a critical time, with little time, Evelyn made a decision. "Can you fly the plane?"
She was asking Dermot. Dermot was unsure and said, "I have only flown simulators before."
Evelyn looked at the flight attendant and said to her, "Go to the cabin and see if anyone knows how to fly."
The flight attendant turned and left, quickly returning and saying, "No one knows how to."
That was what Evelyn had expected, considering that only a few could fly a plane. She reluctantly took a seat in the captain's chair.
"Simulators are different from this, so don't mess around," the flight attendant, trying to stop Evelyn, said.
Evelyn looked at her and asked calmly, "Then how about you?"
The flight attendant thought if she knew how to fly, she wouldn't just be a flight attendant.
"Do you know?" Dermot asked in surprise.
"Like you, I have only flown simulators," Evelyn said to him, but she already held the control stick. "But in a situation like this, it's better to rely on ourselves than on dumb luck."
Although she had only flown simulators, she still knew the basic operations of piloting a plane. She didn't want to die, and there seemed to be no other choice but to take matters into her own hands.
"You sit in the co-pilot seat, contact the control tower. I'll try to make a close landing so they can clear the runway and prepare for ambulances."
Evelyn didn't have much confidence either, but if someone else was able at a time like this, she wouldn't have taken the initiative.
After giving instructions to Dermot, she looked at the other flight attendants and said, "Make sure all passengers fasten their seatbelts, stay still, and then find seats for yourselves."
"Okay." One of the flight attendants hurried to the cabin.
"What's next?" someone else asked.
"Pray to God." Evelyn smiled, lifted the control stick, and tilted the descending plane upward.
At the same time, the control tower in Moris City received the message from Dermot and everyone was shocked.
"So, now there are two people who have never flown a plane piloting it?" Everyone fell silent, unable to imagine the consequences.
"Contact the nearest airport, and prepare for everything." someone ordered, "Prepare for the worst."
