Chapter 268 Did She Force You to Leave?
Maybe Dermot's words had some effect, Evelyn eventually got up from the sofa and had breakfast with him.
However, her mood remained depressed, not saying a word for a long time.
"He left today, right?" Dermot asked.
Evelyn nodded, and Dermot asked again, "Won't you go and see him off?"
Evelyn shook her head, eating breakfast and replied absentmindedly, "No need, as you said, it's not like we're saying goodbye forever, what's there to see off?"
Dermot shook his head helplessly and didn't say anything more.
When Evelyn finished her breakfast and was about to return to the sofa, Dermot pulled her up and said, "Change your clothes, I'm taking you out."
"Where to?" Evelyn lifted her eyelids slightly, lacking vitality, clearly not wanting to go out.
"You'll know when we get there," Dermot didn't answer her question, but took her out and got into the car, leaving Barbert's Apartment.
Soon, Evelyn knew where Dermot was taking her because she saw the four words of Moris City Airport not far away.
Her heart trembled, and she turned to look at the person next to her. Dermot, who was driving attentively at this moment, didn't notice Evelyn's gaze.
The car stopped, and the two got out. Only then did Dermot speak, "Since you don't want to say goodbye face to face, let's secretly bid farewell once."
Evelyn didn't say anything but didn't refuse either.
Dermot took Evelyn to the VIP lounge, where they could clearly see the boarding gate not far away.
"Thank you," Evelyn whispered her thanks. It felt like something had broken a hole in her heart, and her heart, which was originally as strong as steel, was slowly shattering.
Dermot Marina, although he disliked Aidan, it didn't prevent him from wanting Evelyn to be happy.
Before long, Aidan and Niall's figures appeared at the boarding gate. They seemed to be talking, and Aidan's gaze swept around, as if waiting for someone.
After a long time, he didn't find the person he wanted to see and disappointedly withdrew his gaze.
All of this was seen by Evelyn. She suddenly felt that it was right for her not to say goodbye in person. Perhaps this could make Aidan give up faster.
At the boarding gate, Niall sighed helplessly, "Stop looking, Evelyn said she won't come and she won't."
"I haven't..."
He wanted to deny it, but when he saw Niall's eyes, it seemed like Niall was saying to him, don't deny it, I know everything, so he had to swallow his words.
"Let's go," Niall waved at him.
Aidan nodded, feeling bitter in his heart. It was time to go.
He turned around, about to pass the boarding gate when someone called out his name, "Aidan!"
He turned back and saw Phoebe hurrying towards him. There wasn't much smile on Aidan's face, "What are you here for?"
"Why didn't you tell me that you were leaving?"
Phoebe was both anxious and mad, reaching out to grab Aidan's arm, "Why are you leaving? Is it because of Evelyn? Is she the one forcing you to leave, right?" Aidan's sudden departure had no other reason than Evelyn, according to Phoebe.
"What does it have to do with you if I leave? Phoebe, I warn you, if you dare to harm Evelyn, I won't be lenient with you!" Aidan warned her, but Phoebe seemed to not take it in.
Upon hearing Aidan say this, Phoebe became even more convinced that it was related to Evelyn, and she felt extreme hatred in that moment.
With tears in her eyes, Phoebe tightly held onto Aidan, "Can you please not leave? I won't cause trouble for her, but can you please not leave?"
She had never liked someone as much as she liked Aidan in her entire life, but he was leaving like this, causing immense pain in Phoebe's heart.
"I'm sorry." Aidan shook his head, pushed her hand away, and walked away.
