Chapter 188 I Am Not a Delicate Flower
The village chief made Evelyn embarrassed. She was about to explain that the other person was not her boyfriend when Dermot spoke, "Let's go treat the wound first. I've notified Todd to bring the rescue team, they should be here soon."
"Okay," Evelyn didn't refuse. the wound on her right calf needed to be treated, it would be troublesome if it got infected.
Dermot supported Evelyn and returned to the makeshift tent. Without waiting for her to speak, the man took the scissors and cut off Evelyn's jeans on her right calf, revealing a bloody wound.
"I can handle it myself." She felt a bit embarrassed.
First, Dermot's arrival moved Evelyn, so she feels embarrassed to let him treat her wounds.
Dermot ignores her and continues to busy.
First, he cleans the wound with water, then disinfects it, and bandages it. He does it skillfully, which surprises Evelyn.
After everything is done, Dermot says to her, "Rest well and don't move around."
"I'm fine. There are many people injured. I need to hurry and treat their wounds." she is the only doctor here.

As if knowing what he is thinking, Evelyn solemnly says to him, "I know you are worried about me, but... I am not a delicate flower. These minor injuries won't have a big impact on me, at least saving lives is not a problem."
She is determined, and Dermot can see it.
He sighs, as if compromise always comes from him when it comes to Evelyn.
"I'll let them in. You just sit here and don't run around," he instructs.
Then, Dermot walks out of the tent. Evelyn watches his figure and feels complicated.
She never expected Dermot to be the first one to arrive. With the inconvenient transportation and lack of signal here, she didn't expect Aidan and the others to come. But Dermot...
She sighs in her heart, not knowing how to face that man anymore.
Fortunately, villagers come in one after another, seeking her help with their injuries, which prevents her from dwelling on it further.
Evelyn deals with many injuries until it is almost dark, and she still hasn't seen Dermot.
"Eve." Ethan walks in from outside. The child is full of energy. After coming out of the cave, he returns to normal. He has been helping outside all afternoon.
Although he can't do much, it seems like he always wants to do something.
"Ethan, come sit and rest. You're still a child, don't tire yourself out." She gestures to him, feeling a bit heartbroken.
In the afternoon, she heard that Ethan's parents have been found, but unfortunately, they were gone.
A family of four, leaving only two children, one five years old, and the other three years old. Evelyn doesn't know how they will live in the future.
Ethan walks over and sits beside Evelyn. "Eve, are you waiting for that Aidan guy?"
"He and the village chief went to save people."
Evelyn is surprised, as she thought Dermot didn't care much about the lives of those villagers. he didn't want her to treat their wounds before, but now...
"That Aidan guy is amazing. I want to become someone as amazing as him when I grow up." Ethan says.
Evelyn pats his head, giving him confidence. "You will, and you will become even more amazing than him in the future."
