Chapter 204 Can't Aidan Let It Go?
When Evelyn and Aidan returned home with groceries, they saw a flushed Niall. He looked like he was about to get angry, so Evelyn hurried over.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
Upon hearing that, Niall seemed to snap out of it. He glared at Ethan, then didn't say a word. He walked into the kitchen with Aidan, clearly in a bad mood.
Evelyn was puzzled and turned to Ethan. "What's wrong with him?"
"He was playing a game just now. But he's really bad at it. I commented a little bit." Ethan looked somewhat guilty. "He seems angry."
Evelyn couldn't help but laugh and patted Ethan's head. "Don't worry. He was always bad to begin with."
After comforting Ethan, Evelyn walked towards the kitchen. "Niall, even Ethan can tell that you're terrible at it. Shouldn't you make some effort to improve?"
"Games are not something good. There's no need to make any effort." Niall was annoyed and said, "I remember they grow up in the countryside. How come they are better at playing games than me?"
"When I went to the countryside for a medical charity event, I brought the games with me because I was afraid it would be boring there. Ethan often came to play with me. So I taught him how to play."
"I didn't expect him to be extremely talented. After a few times, he surpassed me."
Sometimes she had to admit that talent was important, especially talents like Ethan. As long as he was properly nurtured, he would definitely not lose to anyone.
Niall felt frustrated but didn't know what to say. Talent was indeed important, just like Evelyn's talent in computers, which was far superior to his own no matter how hard he tried.
"Alright, Niall, why are you angry with a child?"
Evelyn patted his shoulder and suddenly had a brilliant idea, "Otherwise, you can adopt him as your godson. With such a talented child, he'll be like your son, and it would be prestigious, wouldn't it?"
Niall was shocked by Evelyn's idea and looked at her, "You really are a good sister to me."
"Of course. What do you think?" Evelyn thought the suggestion was good. If Ethan had Niall as his godfather, he wouldn't have a bad life in the future.
Niall glared at him, not in a good mood, and said, "Forget it. I'm afraid my future wife won't agree."
He didn't even have a girlfriend yet, and now he would have a godson. What if his future wife had objections?
Evelyn didn't push him further, "Alright then, you missed out on having a godson. I feel sorry for you."
"Thanks, but I don't regret it." With Ethan as his infuriating godson, he was afraid he might have a shorter lifespan.
Evelyn didn't stay in the kitchen any longer and went out to accompany the two children, leaving only Niall and Aidan in the kitchen.
"Aidan, do you think Evelyn will be with Dermot?" Aidan asked while cutting vegetables.
Niall remained silent for a moment and then said, "I don't know. But no matter who she's with, I will support her."
Aidan frowned and looked at him, "I thought you were very unhappy with how Dermot treated Evelyn before."
"I am very unhappy with him. But as long as Evelyn is happy, I’m okay with it" He said.
For him, whoever Evelyn chose, he would support her.
"You really are open-minded." Aidan chuckled lightly, feeling complicated.
Niall looked at Aidan and said seriously, "Aidan, are you not open-minded? Do you not approve of Evelyn being with Dermot?"
Before Aidan could answer, Niall continued, "Do you really dislike Dermot? Or do you not like Evelyn being with anyone?"
