Chapter 1151: For You

The next morning, when Evelyn finally rolled out of bed, Dermot had already whipped up breakfast, and Henry was chilling at the table, looking like he was waiting for her.

Evelyn felt a bit awkward and rushed downstairs to the dining room. "Sorry, Henry, I totally overslept."

"No biggie, it's still early. I'm just old and can't sleep for crap. Don't worry about it, you're not me," Henry said with a grin, waving her over to eat.

Evelyn plopped down and glanced at Dermot. "What time did you get up to make all this?"

"Not too early. Most of it was takeout from Bruce," he said, having only made some oatmeal porridge.

"Thanks," Evelyn smiled at him, feeling a bit guilty.

Dermot felt all warm and fuzzy inside. "I love making breakfast for you."

If Evelyn was down, he could do this breakfast thing forever.

Henry cleared his throat. "Hey, I'm still here, you know."

He never realized his grandson was such a smooth talker. Evelyn could handle him, but Henry really wanted to roll his eyes.

Dermot shut up, and Evelyn covered her face, laughing silently.

The three of them ate breakfast in silence. Afterward, Evelyn and Dermot left Doyle Mansion, ready to drive to Tara Village.

They didn't have much time on this trip. Dermot had a ton of work, and Sarah was getting hitched over the weekend, so Evelyn needed to get back early to help out.

This time, Evelyn didn't give Jacob's family a heads-up about going to Tara Village. She mainly didn't want to deal with Arianna and her daughter. She visited her grandpa's grave quietly and left just as quietly.

Jacob later figured out Evelyn had been there when he saw the flowers she left at his dad's grave.

But he didn't blame her for not visiting him. If she had, Arianna might've stirred up some drama again. Evelyn probably thought of that, so she didn't go.

He sighed and then headed to the nearby field to start his day's work.

After coming back from Tara Village, Evelyn and Dermot stayed in Moris City for another three days before heading out.

At Moris City airport, Henry watched Dermot and Evelyn leave and couldn't help but sigh. "I can't wait for them to come back next time."

The house was way more lively with more people around. Once they left, it was just the servants in Doyle Mansion, and Henry felt lonely.

"Mr. Dermot Doyle is so thoughtful; he'll definitely come back to see you often," Bruce chimed in. "Plus, it's not far from here to Golombia. If you miss them, we can just hop on a plane."

"You're right," Henry said, nodding and looking away. "Let's go, we should head back."

Bruce pushed Henry into the car, while Dermot and Evelyn boarded the plane.

Dermot seemed super busy, his phone buzzing non-stop with calls.

Evelyn knew that once they got back, he'd probably have a few sleepless nights of work, and she couldn't help but feel a bit worried. "Is there a lot going on with the Doyle Group?"

"Yeah, especially since I just took over, there's a bunch of people causing trouble behind the scenes," Dermot replied, his eyes glued to the computer, typing away.

Evelyn sighed and said, "You still need to make sure to rest."

Dermot closed the laptop. "I know. Don't worry, I'll definitely take care of myself for you."

He didn't want to leave Evelyn early because of health issues. He didn't care about this stuff before, but now he couldn't afford not to.
