Chapter 712 The More Capable, the More Work

Evelyn nodded. She had been thinking about this a lot lately, feeling that she was too passive. Even if she took over the Kyte Group in the future, without a source of information, many things would remain passive.

So, she came to Luke today to discuss about building their own information network.

After a while, Luke finally said, "It's possible, but I really don't know how to start it right now."

He had never delved into this before. If he had a need, he would either hire a private detective or ask someone he knew. As for how they got the information, Luke had never asked.

"Actually, it's quite easy to get information. When do you think people are willing to share what they know?" Evelyn asked with a smile, clearly having an idea in mind.

Luke was stunned for a moment and tentatively said, "When they're drunk, right?"

Evelyn nodded. Indeed, it was so!

People were only willing to talk as they were drunk, and they talked without restraint, willing to say anything.

"Are you suggesting we open a bar?" Luke asked.

Evelyn snapped her fingers and praised, "Smart kid."

"And it can't be just any bar; it has to be a high-end bar. That way, the people we attract are the ones we want to learn from, and the information they share is what we want to know." Evelyn always thought, 'If I were going to do it, I had to do it best.'

Luke agreed but had his concerns. "There are plenty of bars in Golombia, and they all have backing. Are you sure no one will cause trouble if you suddenly get involved to get a piece of pie?"

"Don't worry, and don't forget I'm now under the title of Ms. Kyte from the Kyte family. Opening a bar shouldn't be opposed by anyone." Evelyn was confident about this.

At worst, she could bring Wade into it. With the Kyte family and the Allen family as backing, even if other families caused trouble, they wouldn't have much to fear.

Of course, it was best not to involve Wade.

Business could easily lead to conflicts and differences in management philosophy. She didn't want to lose Wade as a friend because of this.

They quickly agreed on the location and general idea, leaving the execution to Luke. She could continue to be hands-off.

"You need to find someone else to manage the bar. I have to deal with the Darkmoon Group and don't have time to be at the bar every day." He could only help her manage the bar temporarily; long-term management was out of the question.

And if they really wanted to develop it into an information-gathering network, there was a lot to do. Even the staff would need time to be trained, otherwise, it would be difficult to succeed.

Hearing this, Evelyn felt a headache. "Alright, I'll look for someone, but until I find them, you'll have to handle it."

"Are you trying to work me to death?" Luke complained, wondering if coming to help Evelyn was the right decision.

She really didn't treat him as an outsider, or rather, she didn't treat him as a person at all.

"Those who can, do more." Evelyn smiled and then stood up, "Then hurry up first, and I'll leave."

"It's already mealtime, and would you like to have a meal ? The food in the company cafeteria is pretty good." Luke also stood up, smiling.

Evelyn was intrigued. "Really? I have to try it."

"Let's go, and I'll take you." Since the establishment of the Darkmoon Group, Evelyn rarely came by, and at this moment, she couldn't even find the cafeteria.
