Chapter 674: What Are the Conditions
Evelyn was feeling troubled when her phone rang. Seeing that it was Dermot calling, she hesitated but decided to answer the call.
"Is something the matter?" Evelyn's mood wasn't great due to Wade's situation, so her tone wasn't as pleasant as before.
Hearing such a cold voice, Dermot felt a bit annoyed at why he made this call. "I have some information about the Roberts family here. If you're interested, come over and see me."
"Alright, where are you?" Evelyn asked.
Dermot gave an address, which turned out to be the same villa area they had encountered before.
Could it be that he wanted her to come to the villa where he and Margaret lived together? Evelyn immediately resisted the idea in her mind.
"Are you coming?" Seeing her silence, Dermot also felt uneasy. He was trying to help, but Evelyn didn't seem appreciative, which felt like a waste of time.
If it weren't for Evelyn's bad mood, he wouldn't bother with these matters at all.
After a moment of hesitation, Evelyn thought she should be rational and said, "I'll be there."
Ending the call, Evelyn got up from the bed and quickly left the Kyte family, heading to the villa area.
However, to Evelyn's surprise, the villa where Dermot was located was not the one he and Margaret had come out of before.
"Do you live here?" Evelyn couldn't help but ask.
Dermot nodded. "Yes, any problem?"
Evelyn shook her head, wanting to ask more, but she didn't. What did it matter to her whether Dermot lived with Margaret or not?
"Where's the information?" Evelyn cut to the chase. Since Wade's decision to marry Lucia couldn't be changed, she decided to do what needed to be done.
To secure the Roberts family sooner, make Wade feel better, and offset some emotional setbacks with some achievements in work.
"So urgent?" Dermot held the information and saw Evelyn's eagerness, feeling that she didn't care at all, which left him feeling a bit off.
But soon, Dermot came to his senses. Why did he have such thoughts?
He didn't like Evelyn anyway, so why should it matter if she cared about him or not?
Dermot felt a bit of a headache. It seemed that Margaret's treatment wasn't very effective, as it didn't make him completely ignore Evelyn.
Taking the information from Dermot's hand, Evelyn looked through it carefully, and soon, a smile appeared on her face.
It had to be said that Dermot's information came at the right time. It contained a lot of unfavorable information about the Roberts family, giving them more leverage.
Closing the file, Evelyn asked, "What are the conditions?"
Dermot was stunned, not immediately understanding what she meant by her words.
"You're not giving me this information for nothing, are you?" She didn't believe it. Dermot must have some conditions for exchange.
Before Evelyn could speak, Dermot had indeed intended to give it for free, but now he changed his mind.
Why should he give it to Evelyn for free?
"After the fall of the Roberts family, I want a share of the benefits," Dermot said. His power was too small now, even though he had moved the Doyle Group from Moris City to Columbia. He didn't dare be too blatant because of the presence of the Doyle family, which resulted in many projects he couldn't do.
Evelyn nodded, not surprised by this condition.
"Aren't you afraid that the Doyle family will find out about our cooperation?"
Evelyn felt that the Doyle family probably wouldn't want to see two families joining forces to swallow another family, so Dermot's behavior of seeking benefits was likely not to be approved by the Doyle family.
"I brought the Doyle Group from Moris City and merged it under Craig's control. The benefits I'm seeking this time will go to Irvine Group," Dermot said. Columbia only had one Doyle Group, so when he decided to return to the Doyle family, he merged his company into Craig's hands.
