Chapter 221 How to Answer?
After comforting Ruby Kite's parents, Evelyn left the Kite family villa.
As soon as she stepped outside, she called Aidan and Nial. However, they didn't have any useful information. As if that person had never existed, leaving no trace.
This made Evelyn worry about Ruby Kite's situation and her safety.
She decided to call Dermot, hoping to get some clues from him.
"Evelyn," came Dermot's low and restrained voice on the phone. Anxious as she was, Evelyn didn't notice anything unusual.
"Do you have any news about Ruby?" Evelyn asked, her palms sweaty. If Dermot didn't have any news, she didn't know what to do.
Dermot fell silent. He didn't want to lie to Evelyn, but considering Craig, his own brother who seemed to be willing to go to any lengths, he could only compromise.
"Dermot?" Evelyn asked again, her heart restless.
Finally, Dermot snapped out of his thoughts. "Sorry, Evelyn, I haven't found anything."
Evelyn felt like she had fallen into an icy cave. If Dermot couldn't find anything, who else could? What was that person's true identity?
Countless questions filled Evelyn's mind, but at this moment, she had to force herself to stay calm. "You couldn't find anything either?"
"No," Dermot nodded, not daring to say more, overwhelmed with guilt.
"If even you can't find anything in Moris City, then it must be difficult to uncover their identity," she recalled Aidan's words and couldn't help but ask.
Dermot fell silent again, only speaking after a while, "It's not necessarily true. I couldn't find your identity before either, Evelyn, despite my efforts. It means that if someone wants to hide, my abilities are limited."
"How did you eventually find out my identity?" Evelyn asked, sensing that Dermot hesitated, feeling like he shouldn't have said more.
"It was Craig who found out. He's better at this than me," he regretted mentioning it, realizing it was a mistake.
Evelyn felt like she had found a lifesaver. "Can you ask Craig to help me find out where Ruby is? If it's him, he should be able to find some clues."
How to answer?
"Dermot, can you help me?" Evelyn pleaded, and Dermot had no resistance.
The man was helpless and had to agree, "Okay, I will ask him for help."
"Thank you." Evelyn said sincerely, as she really had no other way now.
After hanging up the phone, Evelyn did not go home but went to Aidan's villa to check the surveillance with Niall. She believed that the surveillance cameras would reveal some clues.
Dermot, on the other hand, was helpless and had to called Craig again: "Evelyn asked me to ask for your help. What do you think?"
"Sure, give me some time, I will return Ruby Kite to her." Craig laughed out loud, finding it amusing that Evelyn was begging him like this.
"Don't go too far." Dermot reminded, showing worries.
"Don't worry. You won't be involved. If something really happens, I’ll fix it." Craig told him. He didn’t want to really affect Dermot and Evelyn's relationship.
Dermot sighed, feeling unease. "You know I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about you."
"Me? What do I have to worry about?" Craig laughed, seeming to not quite understand Dermot's meaning.
"Really? It's best if there's nothing to worry about." After saying that, Dermot hung up the phone, while Craig had already frowned and looked somewhat terrifying.
