Chapter 646 Probing Evelyn
In the study upstairs, Walter looked at Eugene in front of him, still frowning. "Have someone keep an eye on the Kyte family, especially Blake, to see what he has been up to recently."
"Dad, what are you suspecting?" Eugene asked in confusion.
"We've had a few issues with several business deals recently, I suspect someone is targeting us." Walter, a sharp man, realized that at their level, they were dealing with no fools.
Although they were just minor issues, their sudden appearance always felt strange.
Eugene, feeling like facing a formidable enemy, asked, "Someone is targeting us? Who? The Kyte family?"
"I don't know, I just have suspicions." Judging from Blake's recent attitude, he didn't seem to have the same reservations towards the Roberts family as before, which led to his suspicion.
Eugene also frowned, a hint of resentment flashed in his eyes. "I think it's very likely. Blake has had a grudge against our Roberts family for a long time, but he had just been holding back."
"But what exactly happened to make him decide to act now?"
Eugene was convinced it was Blake's doing, but couldn't figure out where he got the confidence.
The Kyte family might be slightly stronger than the Roberts family, but that slight edge wasn't enough to cause any harm to the Roberts family.
Walter understood the logic behind it and could only say, "So, we need to have someone watch him, see what he's been up to recently, and who he's been meeting."
"Alright, I'll arrange it," Eugene nodded.
"If it's just the Kyte family making a move against the Roberts family, then we have nothing to fear, we might even gain something from it, what we should fear is..."
Walter didn't finish his sentence, but Eugene wasn't a fool, he quickly understood the implication.
Would someone conspire with the Kyte family to deal with the Roberts family?
If that were the case, the Roberts family would be in crisis.
"If there's a chance, probe that Evelyn, see what she's capable of," Walter said to his son, now having to take Evelyn seriously.

Evelyn nodded. "Has anything happened in the company these days?"

After all, if you had money, who would want to be a wage earner? She certainly didn't.
Evelyn chuckled lightly. "Lucia probably isn't in the mood to come to work now."
"Evey, is it true that Lucia and Hubert are really getting engaged?" Carol asked in a low voice, curious like everyone else in the company.
Evelyn raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised. "Where did you hear that from?"
"It's the talk of the company." Carol chuckled awkwardly, it was hard not to know even if she didn't want to.
"Let's wait for the announcement, if it's true, there should be news today." Evelyn didn't give a definite answer, but she knew that once Blake decided on something, there would be no turning back, and soon the Kyte family would join hands with the Roberts family to announce the good news.
