Chapter 259 Acting Like a Gentleman
The next day, Dermot woke up at Evelyn's house, replaying the scenes from last night in his mind. Especially that lingering kiss, it was difficult for him to control himself.
There was a sound outside the door. Evelyn should have got up. Dermot didn't hesitate. He soon got out of bed, opened the door and saw Evelyn in the living room.
With their eyes facing each other, neither of them spokes, especially Evelyn, his cheeks flushed uncontrollably.
Dermot glared angrily: "toiletries are in the bathroom. I bought them temporarily. I will use them." No man has ever stayed in her family, not even Aidan and Niall.
"Well, thank you."
Dermot nodded and turned to the bathroom.
Asshole, pretend to be a gentleman, last night... Evelyn sighed and rubbed his head, forcing himself not to think about it. Not long after, Dermot came out of the bathroom, and Evelyn had put breakfast on the table. "Go ahead, try the noodles I cooked."
"What noodles?"
Dermot was surprised that Evelyn could cook noodles.
"Instant noodles." She answered.
Dermot: "…"
He came over and sure enough there were two bowls of instant noodles on the table.
"If you eat instant noodles early in the morning, only you can figure it out."
Dermot couldn't help complaining and reached out to take away the instant noodles in front of Evelyn.
"What are you doing?" Evelyn asked him.
Dermot ignored her and went into the kitchen with instant noodles. After a while, instant noodles came out again, but with fried eggs and a few shrimps on them, they immediately became nutritious.
Evelyn couldn't help laughing. "I didn't expect you to be a fastidious person."
"If you weren't worried about your stomach, do you think I would do this?"
Even Grandpa Doyle hasn't eaten his breakfast. Evelyn is the first one.
Evelyn stuck out his tongue and was really sorry: "it's not as exaggerated as you said. I'm fine."
"Good?
I don't know who hurt last time and couldn't get up. "
Dermot was not angry with her.
Evelyn words are blocked and cannot be refuted.
After breakfast, Dermot could not stay at Evelyn's house after a day off. After all, the Doyle Group was waiting for her to have a meeting.
"Then I'll go to the office first. What are your plans for today?"
Before leaving, Dermot didn't forget to ask Evelyn about his arrangements.
Evelyn thought, it's still Sunday, she doesn't have to go to the hospital, "maybe go to the company, it's just the beginning, it may be busy."
Although there is Sarah to manage for her, but as a boss, she can't really ignore everything.
"Well, don't strain yourself." Dermot commanded.
Evelyn had no choice but to say, "got it."
It makes her look like a child.
Dermot left, and Evelyn packed up and left home for the company.
Niall, still feeling groggy from his drunken state, rubbed his head and asked, "Where am I?"
"Where else could you be besides home?" Aidan replied, appearing by his side and handing him a cup of tea.
Niall took the cup and finished it, looking up at Aidan. "You brought me back, right?"
"Well, who else would have? Did you walk back on your own?" Aidan couldn't help but ask, annoyed by the obvious question.
Niall placed the cup on the table and gave him a disdainful look. "What's wrong with you? Did you eat firecrackers in the morning?"
Aidan remained silent.
Niall continued to inquire, "How did your conversation with Evelyn go last night? Did you clarify things?"
"Mhm," Aidan nodded.
"That's good then," Niall sighed in relief.
Aidan looked at him. He hadn't slept all night, thinking about something, and now he had made up his mind.
