Chapter 1263: Alright, We'll Do as You Say
Bruce grinned and hustled to get everything sorted out, then came back to Henry. "Mr. Doyle, you can finally chill."
"Yeah." Henry had been stressing, worried that Dermot would be left alone after he was gone.
Now, with Dermot having his own family, Henry could finally relax, even if he kicked the bucket.
"When Ms. Kyte and Mr. Dermot Doyle split, I never thought they'd patch things up."
Evelyn was a gem, and Dermot had been too blind to see it.
Who would've guessed that after all these years, they'd end up back together, and their relationship would be totally different this time around?
Henry chuckled warmly, "I always knew they were meant to be. Looks like fate agrees with me."
"Absolutely, Mr. Doyle. You've got some serious insight," Bruce said, nodding.
While they were chatting, Evelyn wrapped up with her patients, and Dermot had already shown up at the hospital to pick her up.
"Didn't I tell you not to come get me?" The Doyle Group and the hospital were on opposite sides of town. Dermot had to go out of his way to pick her up, and Evelyn thought it was a hassle, so she'd told him not to bother.
Dermot stepped up, grabbed her hand, and started walking. "I got off work early and had nothing better to do. Picking you up makes me happy, so why not?"
Evelyn rolled her eyes.
They left the hospital, and Dermot, in a good mood, decided to cook for Evelyn himself. So instead of heading straight home, they hit the supermarket.
"What do you wanna eat?" Dermot asked, like he always did. Cooking was a breeze for him; the real challenge was deciding what to make.
Evelyn walked beside him, eyeing the fresh veggies. "I'm cool with anything. Just make what you're good at."
Since she couldn't decide, Dermot picked out some ingredients himself, mostly Evelyn's favorites, showing how much he cared.
After the supermarket, Evelyn dragged Dermot to the mall to grab some stuff.
They were heading back to Moris City tomorrow and needed to bring gifts for Henry. Plus, she had to visit Tara Village this time.
Last time, she skipped her uncle's place, but now she had to go. After all, she was getting married and needed to let them know.
They bought a bunch of stuff and got home around seven. Dermot headed straight to the kitchen, while Evelyn packed their bags.
Half an hour later, Dermot had dinner ready, and Evelyn had finished packing. They sat down to eat.
"Evelyn, is there anywhere you really wanna go?" Dermot asked out of the blue.
Evelyn thought for a bit. "There are tons of places I wanna visit, but I never have the time."
"We could plan a trip and hit all those spots after the wedding. What do you think?" Dermot suggested. He could plan it himself, but he wanted to make sure Evelyn liked the places.
Evelyn mulled it over and thought it sounded great. "Alright, I'll go with your plan."
They exchanged smiles. Even though they weren't married yet, their connection was as strong as any old couple's.
So, Dermot had another task on his plate.
Besides designing the wedding dress and rings, he now had to plan their travel itinerary.
But that wasn't a big deal for him. Apart from the design work he had to do himself, everything else could be handed off to his team. He just needed to give the final thumbs-up.
