Chapter 912 Take Care of Everything, Will You?

"Just woke up?" Dermot asked with a grin, holding breakfast.

Evelyn nodded and stepped aside to let him in.

Walking into Evelyn's living room, Dermot placed the breakfast on the dining table. "Why don't you freshen up first?"

"Oh." Evelyn quickly ran to the bathroom.

Dermot's smile lingered. He knew Evelyn seemed tough and independent, but she was still a bit of a kid at heart, especially around people she trusted.

He could actually tell that although Evelyn appeared aloof and independent in front of others, she was still a little girl at heart. However, this side of her only showed in front of people she trusted.

This was good, but he knew he had to keep at it.

Evelyn soon returned, freshly changed, her cheeks still a bit red from embarrassment.

"Why are you up so early?" Evelyn asked casually.

"Not too early. I'm used to it." He always got up early and didn't sleep in.

Evelyn's wake-up time was normal, just late compared to Dermot.

"Let's eat." Dermot pointed to the breakfast. "It's Saturday, so you don't have to go to the hospital, right?"

"Yeah, but I still need to check on my patients." Although she didn't have to go, she was used to going to the hospital in the morning, especially to check on patients who had surgeries scheduled for Monday, to prevent any unexpected issues.

Dermot admired her dedication. "Do you plan to keep this up forever?"

"Yeah, why not?" Her job was stable, though not very regular, but compared to Dermot, her schedule seemed pretty regular.

"If someone else took over the Kyte family, they'd probably be living it up by now. But you didn't. People might think you're just an ordinary doctor." Dermot laughed. Evelyn's life was so normal. She didn't seem like a wealthy person at all.

Evelyn didn't deny it. "Living it up at my age would feel like I've done nothing."

Her work gave her a sense of achievement.

"Yeah, my Evelyn is different." Dermot smiled.

Evelyn rolled her eyes, thinking, 'Who's your Evelyn? Keep dreaming.'

After breakfast, Dermot drove Evelyn to the hospital, then headed to the Doyle family for his busy day.

Compared to Evelyn, Dermot's life was neither regular nor free.

He always thought about taking over the Doyle family quickly, so he could have more time with Evelyn.

But some things couldn't be rushed.

At the Doyle family home, Randy looked much older, whether from his son's death or family issues.

"Grandpa, here's the list of servants and bodyguards in the Doyle family with connections to other families." Otis was surprised by how many had been bought off.

These people hadn't acted yet, but if they had, they could have caused serious trouble.

Randy didn't take the list and just sighed. "Deal with them all."

"Okay." Otis nodded, thinking they deserved it.
