Chapter 1375 Extra: Aidan and Phoebe (50)
At Aidan's villa, Phoebe slept quite well and wasn't affected by what happened the previous night.
When she got up and went downstairs, Aidan was already sitting in the living room. Seeing her come down, he stood up and walked over to her. "Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"
"No." Phoebe shook her head, thinking that her minor injuries weren't worth all this fuss.
Hearing this, Aidan didn't ask further and had the servant bring breakfast. "Let's have breakfast."
"Okay." When Phoebe sat down, she noticed that today's breakfast was different from usual, mostly nutritious foods. Feeling a bit helpless, she looked up at Aidan. "It's just a minor injury; isn't this a bit too much?"
"A minor injury? Didn't you bleed?" Since she bled, in his view, she needed proper nutrition. Moreover, she got hurt saving him.
With him saying this, Phoebe couldn't find a way to argue. "Alright." She said nothing more and lowered her head to eat breakfast.
Seeing her eating breakfast, Aidan felt a flutter in his heart. "Why did you shield me yesterday? Aren't you afraid of dying?"
He had actually asked this question yesterday, but he couldn't help but ask again.
"Everyone is afraid of death," She said, "I didn't think much at the time."
She was afraid of dying, but she didn't want to see Aidan get hurt either, so at that moment, she acted on instinct.
Aidan looked at her, feeling moved. Even though he usually needed some time to accept strangers, he could sense that he was starting to have feelings for Phoebe.
He himself hadn't expected that he would come to like the Phoebe he once disliked so much. It was quite strange. He guessed he was the type to develop feelings over time.
After a moment of silence, Aidan slowly spoke, "Next time, don't be so foolish. Think about Theodore. If something happened to you, what would he do?"
"Then if something happened to you, wouldn't he be without a father too?" Phoebe thought that neither she nor Aidan should get hurt.
Aidan chuckled and didn't refute her. "You're right, so we both need to take care of ourselves."
Just then, the nanny walked in. "Mr. Brooks, there's a lady named Sienna at the door looking for you."
"Alright, let her in." Aidan wasn't surprised that Sienna came over. He had messaged her last night about returning to the Lowe family, so she was bound to come over today to confirm it in person.
The nanny left, and Phoebe was stunned. "Why is she looking for you? Is she trying to persuade you to return to the Lowe family again?"
Before Aidan could respond, the nanny had already brought Sienna into the living room. He could only smile at Phoebe without answering her question.
"Is what you said in your text last night true?" Sienna went straight to the point, ignoring Phoebe.
Aidan ate his breakfast and replied leisurely, "Of course it's true."
Sienna's eyes lit up. She had come over early to confirm this. "Are you really willing to return to the Lowe family with me?"
"Isn't that what you've always wanted? Why is it that when I actually do it, you find it hard to believe?" Aidan found her quite ridiculous; it showed how insecure she was.
Sienna's scrutinizing gaze fell on Aidan, as if trying to see through him. Unfortunately, the current Aidan was no longer a teenager. Despite her experience, she still couldn't see through him. This left her feeling uncertain and worried.
