Chapter 1377 Extra: Aidan and Phoebe (52)

"What's wrong?" Aidan asked in confusion.

Phoebe bit her lip, wanting to ask Aidan what he really felt about her, but she didn't dare to.

The two of them were probably in a period of ambiguity. Maybe Aidan wasn't sure about his feelings for her either. Phoebe was worried that if she asked directly, it might break the current situation.

If things went well, they could be together. If not, they may part ways. Thinking about Aidan's previous attitude, Phoebe felt a bit timid and ultimately didn't have the courage to ask about it.

"Why did you suddenly decide to go back to the Lowe family?" Phoebe asked, changing the subject.

Aidan didn't know what she was thinking. Hearing her question, he naturally assumed she was thinking the same thing. "No particular reason. Since the Lowe family is so welcoming, why shouldn't I go?"

Phoebe felt he wasn't telling the truth, but she didn't press further. After all, she didn't understand business matters. Even if Aidan explained, she would be clueless, so she simply didn't ask.

After breakfast, Aidan didn't go to the company but stayed home, which puzzled Phoebe. "Don't you need to go to the company?"

"Not today," Aidan replied.

"Why?"

"Your injury hasn't healed yet. If I go to the company and something happens to you at home, what then?" Aidan said, not looking up from the documents in his hand, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

Phoebe's eyes reddened at his words. She thought, 'Does he really start to care about me? Am I dreaming?'

She wiped the corners of her eyes, forcing back her tears. "You don't have to. I'm fine, and there are servants at home."

It was just a minor injury. Phoebe really thought Aidan was exaggerating, making it seem like she was seriously hurt.

"Don't you want me to stay home?" Aidan looked up at her.

Phoebe was stunned. She was eager for him to stay home. "I'm just afraid of delaying your work."

Aidan looked away. "It won't delay anything."

Hearing this, Phoebe wisely didn't ask further. After all, it was good for him to stay home. Even if he didn't do anything, it was nice for her to see him more.

With this in mind, Phoebe brought Theodore to the living room, playing with him while sneaking glances at Aidan working. It gave her a unique sense of satisfaction.

The day passed quickly. Phoebe usually felt time dragged when she stayed at the villa, but today, perhaps because Aidan was there, she felt time flew by and even wanted more.

Aidan had no idea what she was thinking. In fact, while Phoebe was sneaking glances at him, he was also sneaking glances at her.

Watching her play with Theodore, the living room filled with their laughter, Aidan suddenly felt that this was good. This was the family he always wanted and he wanted to maintain it.

Aidan had made up his mind. Once the Lowe family matters were settled, he would clarify his relationship with Phoebe. Whether they started dating again or got married directly, he didn't mind.

"Why are you staring at me?" Phoebe had somehow walked up to Aidan, and his gaze was still on her without any intention of hiding it.

"Nothing," Aidan said, a bit flustered, and quickly buried himself in his work again. Although he had made up his mind, he still hadn't figured out how to bring it up with Phoebe.
