Chapter 53 It Seems You Don't Want to Be Friends with Me

At six o'clock in the afternoon, Evelyn unusually finished work on time.

She was just thinking about whether to invite Ruby Kite out for dinner and ask about the current situation of the Kite family. However, before she could dial the phone, a red sports car stopped in front of her.

The car window rolled down, and Keith's handsome and intimidating face appeared.

"Dr. Kyte, wouldn't you have some time to have a meal together today?" he smiled, but Evelyn could clearly feel the dominant aura emanating from him, leaving no room for refusal.

Evelyn reluctantly thought to herself that this person really couldn't wait even for a moment. He had just promised yesterday, and now he was asking her to fulfill it.

After a moment's hesitation, she thought that it wouldn't be a big deal to owe him this favor. It would be better to repay it sooner rather than later. "Alright."

"Get in the car."

Blanchett Restaurant is a famous French restaurant in Moris City.

Evelyn thought about the takeout Keith ordered for her last night and casually asked, "You seem to really like spicy food."

"Yes, don't you?" Keith turned to ask her.

Due to her weak stomach, Evelyn rarely ate spicy food. given that she was repaying a favor, so she couldn't ask Keith to accommodate her.

"No, I quite like it," she nodded.

Upon hearing this, Keith Marina said ambiguously, "Then our tastes are quite similar. We won't argue about what to eat in the future."

Evelyn, "..."

She pretended that she didn't hear that and thought about repaying the favor and then minimizing her interaction with Keith. She didn't want to get involved in his grievances with Dermot.

Inside the private room, Keith handed the menu to Evelyn, "Take a look and choose what you like."

"Whatever you choose." She didn't know much about Hunan cuisine, and she had never been to this restaurant before, so she naturally didn't know what was good.

Keith then ordered a few dishes and decided to order a lighter one after some thought.

While waiting to be served, Keith's eyes were always on Evelyn. "You still haven't told me your name yet. I can't keep calling you Dr. Kyte forever. It sounds so unfamiliar."

"Evelyn," she answered.

She didn't purposely want to hide it, and as for whether outsiders could find out, that wasn't her concern.

"Evelyn..." Keith murmured and then smiled. "Your name sounds nice. Can I call you Evelyn?"

Evelyn hesitated. She felt that her relationship with Keith hadn't reached that level yet.

"Just to be fair, you can also call me Keef." He smiled at Evelyn and saw her awkward smile, he continued, "Or you can call me by my name."

"Alright," Evelyn nodded, accepting it.

Of course, she wouldn't call Keith Keef. They weren't that close. Of course, she couldn't stop Keith from calling her Evey.

Soon, the dishes were served, and the two of them ate slowly.

It was only at this moment that Keith realized that Evelyn had hardly touched the other dishes, and the dish she ate the most was the light one.

He understood in his heart, put down his chopsticks, and said somewhat helplessly, "It seems that you still don't consider me a friend."

Evelyn froze and also put down her chopsticks to look at him. "Why?"

"You clearly can't eat spicy food, so why didn't you refuse just now?" he asked.

"I'm fine. As long as you enjoy your meal." She said.

Keith's expression changed slightly, and it was clear that he was a bit unhappy.

Evelyn also felt helpless when she saw the situation. She just wanted to repay this favor as soon as possible, and as for what to eat, it wasn't important to her.

"It seems like you don't want to be friends with me at all?" Keith asked, his voice somewhat cold.

He wasn't an easy person to get along with, especially after being rejected by Evelyn multiple times in a row. At this moment, he was on the verge of anger.
