Chapter 1331 Extra: Aidan and Phoebe (6)
The note had "Theodore" scribbled on it.
Phoebe's mind instantly went to the meaning of the name—God's gift—and she couldn't help but grin.
Aidan must've picked it 'cause he thought the baby was a real blessing.
"Theodore, Theodore," Phoebe repeated, looking at the baby in the stroller and chuckling, "From today, you’ve got a name, little guy."
The baby giggled too, whether it was 'cause Phoebe was being silly or he just liked the name, he seemed pretty stoked.
That same day, Evelyn and the crew found out the baby's name.
Evelyn called up Phoebe and asked, "Did Aidan pick the name?"
"Yeah, I think he did. I saw he had some serious bags under his eyes, so he must've been up all night thinking about it," Phoebe laughed.
Evelyn couldn't help but laugh too, "Looks like Aidan's not as detached from the baby as he pretends."
If he really didn't care, would he spend so much time and effort picking out a name?
"By the way, are you giving the baby your last name or Aidan's?" Evelyn asked, figuring Phoebe had already thought this through since she let Aidan pick the name.
But Phoebe hadn't made up her mind. "I haven't decided yet."
Evelyn went quiet; she didn't have any advice for this one.
"What do you think?" Evelyn asked straight up.
"Honestly, I want the baby to have Aidan's last name." After all, it was his kid. Phoebe also thought sharing Aidan's surname would make them closer.
Evelyn didn't have any issues with that and said, "Then go with your gut. The baby’s yours; you get to decide the last name. No one else has a say."
Even if Phoebe wanted the baby to have her last name, Irvine, Evelyn would back her up.
But Phoebe clearly didn't want that. She was part of the Irvine family but didn't really like them. She was scared that if the baby had her last name, the Irvine family might try to take him away.
Phoebe said, "Yeah, I get it." Evelyn's words helped her make up her mind.
It was her baby; why stress so much?
With her decision made, Phoebe planned to get the baby's birth certificate sorted today.
Evelyn got a bit worried hearing Phoebe had so much on her plate. "Aren't you going to the hospital for a check-up today? Come to the hospital first, and I'll go with you after the check-up."
"I don't wanna bother you; I can handle it."
"It's no bother at all," Evelyn cut in, genuinely meaning it.
Even though she and Phoebe had their beef in the past, that was history, and it never got too ugly.
Now that Phoebe and Aidan were making progress, she really hoped they could end up together. That way, she wouldn't have to worry about Aidan running off to the Catholic church all the time.
Evelyn was super insistent, so Phoebe had to agree.
After hanging up, Phoebe got up and headed to the hospital. She was cool with her current situation and didn't feel the same jealousy towards Evelyn as before.
Looking back, it was Aidan who liked Evelyn; what did that have to do with Evelyn? It was dumb of her to cause trouble for Evelyn.
Luckily, Evelyn didn't hold a grudge; otherwise, Phoebe wouldn't know how to face her.
