Chapter 237 He Is My Enemy

In Keith's car, melodious music filled the entire compartment.

"That Dermot doesn't seem as scary as people say," Sarah held her phone, which had information about Dermot on it.

As Keith drove, he heard her say that and replied, "Don't let his recent behavior deceive you, he's only honest in front of Evelyn, he's quite cunning."
If Dermot didn't have some ability, how could the Doyle family have developed to today?

"you were speaking up for him, but now you're talking badly about him. What do you want, to help him or not?" Sarah put away her phone and looked at the man driving beside her.

Keith smirked, without hiding it, and said, "What am I going to help him with? He's my enemy."

"But, although I dislike him and strive to bring down the entire Doyle family, I still have to be honest with Dermot about Evelyn. I hate him to the point of wanting to tear him apart."

Although he didn't want to speak well of Dermot, in regards to Evelyn, he chose to be honest.

"Tear him apart? Would he divorce if someone tore him apart?" Sarah didn't believe it.

Keith laughed at her words and said, "All of this is just a misunderstanding."

Afterwards, Keith explained the situation to Sarah, the jokes that arose when Dermot didn't recognize Evelyn before, even now, he couldn't help but laugh.

Keith felt that he would use this point to mock Dermot for the rest of his life.

Sarah was speechless after listening. "So, when he fell in love with Evelyn, he didn't even know that she was his recently divorced ex-wife?"

"Exactly, isn't it funny?" Keith nodded, unable to hold back his laughter.

"Even so, I still need to further investigate him. Who knows if everything he's showing now is just a disguise?" Sarah said, not trusting Dermot because of this.

Keith smirked and said, "Do you still need to investigate? I thought you just had Dermot drive Evelyn home, creating an opportunity for him."

"How is that possible?" Sarah retorted, but she felt a bit guilty since that was her intention.

In Dermot's car, it was quiet.

"Don't take what Sarah said to heart." It took a while, but Evelyn couldn't help but speak first.

Dermot drove and glanced at Evelyn from the corner of his eye. "What she said is all true. I didn't cherish you back then."

because at that time, he didn't know that his wife was Evelyn, nor did he know that he would fall in love with her.

Thinking back now, Dermot felt like there was something wrong with his brain at that time. How could he not have thought of meeting her before getting married?

"There's no need to talk about cherishing or not. Since we missed the chance, it means we didn't have fate. If heaven arranged it this way, there must be a reason for it, so you don't need to waste your time on me."

She thought about it and decided it would be better to reject him. Because with Dermot's recent frequent appearances, she felt that her emotions were unchanging, and she didn't like that. So, she wanted to cut ties.

Unfortunately, Dermot wasn't the kind of person to give up.

He not only disagreed, but even retorted, "If it

"No destiny, we would never meet later, I would not have fallen for you. I feel like the heavens are just testing us in a different way."

The car stopped, and Dermot's gaze turned to Evelyn. "Evelyn, please don't always reject me. At least give me a chance, give yourself a chance as well, alright?"

Their eyes met, and Evelyn could hear her own heartbeat quickening, as she looked at Dermot's face getting closer and closer, making it hard for her to breathe.
