Chapter 765 It's All Over Now
Dora was kicked out of the Kyte family's residence. Blake felt disgusted just looking at her, so naturally, she couldn't stay anymore. As for the divorce, he had already instructed his lawyer to gather evidence and prepare to file a lawsuit.
With everything finished, he finally looked at Joshua, who was still in the house, and was a bit dazed. "Sorry for this spectacle, Mr. Garcia."
"Mr. Kyte, there's no need to be so formal with me. Evelyn is my childhood friend, and we get along very well," Joshua said. He was indifferent to such a situation, but he did feel that Evelyn must have suffered a lot because of Dora.
Blake's expression changed slightly as he looked at Joshua. He could tell that Joshua had feelings for Evelyn.
But he had heard that Joshua and Evelyn had grown up together as childhood friends. He thought, 'If Joshua really wants to pursue Evelyn, why does he wait until now?'
Blake didn't know the reason behind it and didn't want to ask too many questions, so he just made some casual talk.
Afterward, Joshua left, and Evelyn saw him off to the door. She said, "Be careful on your way."
"Evelyn, I'm sorry," Joshua didn't leave immediately but instead apologized to Evelyn, which puzzled her.
"If I hadn't left back then and had stayed by your side, maybe you wouldn't have had to suffer so much." At the very least, he wouldn't have let Evelyn marry Dermot or let anyone bully her.
Evelyn smiled at his words, not taking them to heart. "It's all over now. Look, I'm doing fine now."
"Yeah, you're right. It's all over." From now on, with him around, he would never let Evelyn suffer any more grievances.
Joshua reached out and patted Evelyn's head affectionately. "Go back and comfort Mr. Kyte. I guess he's not feeling very well."
Although Blake didn't like Dora, they had been married for so many years. Now being told that Dora had been unfaithful for a long time, Blake would definitely feel upset.
"Okay." Evelyn nodded and turned to walk back.
Joshua stood still until Evelyn's figure disappeared, then got into his car and left.
In the living room, when Evelyn came in, Blake was still sitting in the same spot. Seeing Evelyn return, he casually asked, "Has he left?"
"Yes." Evelyn nodded. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Blake shook his head, but his expression didn't look fine at all.
Evelyn walked over and stood behind him. "Let me give you a shoulder massage."
Blake didn't object and let Evelyn do it, which indeed made him feel much better.
"The whole thing is my fault. If it weren't for Dora, you wouldn't have almost gotten into trouble," Blake said with a bit of guilt.
Evelyn didn't blame Blake and said to him, "It's not your fault. Who could have thought she would be so outrageous?"
"Yeah, who could have thought?" Blake sighed. Although he didn't like Dora back then, he still treated her with the respect she deserved. He had thought she should be content, but he didn't expect Dora to do so many things that betrayed him.
Blake sighed again. Then he thoght of something and said, "Sometimes I can't help but wonder if it's my fault. Maybe I treated her too poorly, which led to current situation."
Evelyn stopped and looked at Blake. "Don't blame yourself for someone else's mistakes. Someone like Dora would never be satisfied, no matter how well you treated her."
"Yeah, you have a point." Blake only occasionally thought this way and didn't really believe he was at fault.
If he were truly at fault and Dora couldn't bear it, she could have asked for a divorce instead of treating him this way.
