Chapter 83 I Think He's Sick

Night market, food stalls.

Keith held his wine glass, still replaying the scene where Evelyn pointed at Dermot and cursed at the doorstep of the apartment.

More importantly, it was the last thing Evelyn said.

Ex-wife?

He knew that Dermot had been married and divorced, but he never expected Evelyn to be the other party.

He was confused. Why would they get divorced?

With these thoughts, his gaze shifted to Evelyn sitting opposite him. He smiled and said, "Are you still angry?"

"Why should I be angry? I just think Dermot is sick in the head." Interested in him? Narcissist.

"I also think he's sick in the head."

Keith agreed with this and continued, "But there's one thing I still don't understand. Are you Dermot's ex-wife?"

Evelyn nodded, there was nothing to deny about it.

"Why did he divorce you?" Keith didn't understand this.

"He has his sister by his side, as well as childhood friends. How could he remember my existence as his wife? Divorce is normal, isn't it?" Evelyn sneered sarcastically.

Keith didn't think so. Men understand men better.

"He treated you badly?" Keith asked.

Evelyn shook her head. Perhaps because she had drunk a few glasses of wine, without any hidden intentions, she replied, "We've been married for two years, and we've never even met. It's not a matter of being good or bad."

Now Keith understood.

Dermot didn't even recognize Evelyn at the beginning. He found out that she was his ex-wife after being attracted to her.

Drinking his wine, Keith couldn't help but smile.

Dermot, oh Dermot, look at you now.

He didn't say anything and left, that appearance made Keith feel satisfied.

His gaze turned to Evelyn, and he said with a faint smile, "Won't you consider being with me? I guarantee Dermot will be half dead with anger."

Evelyn gave him a cold glance and indifferently said, "What does it have to do with me whether he's angry or not? I don't care."

"Is that so?" Keith raised an eyebrow, "I thought you wanted to see him suffer."

"I want to see him suffer, but that's unrelated to being with you. Those are two separate things." Dermot is not a good person, and Keith is not any better.

However, because the latter hadn't done anything to offend her, and had helped her several times, she didn't treat him the same way she treated Dermot.

Keith seemed disappointed, "That's a shame."

Evelyn didn't say anything, nor did she pay him any attention. She drank her wine alone, feeling annoyed.

On the other side, after being scolded by Evelyn, Dermot didn't return to Barberts Ap

Next, he didn't go to the apartment, but drove around the riverbank of Morris City. The anger that had originally ignited gradually dissipated over time, but of course, he was still very angry.

With these thoughts in mind, the car unknowingly arrived at Doyle Manor.

This was his and Evelyn's marital home, but since their marriage, he had never visited, not even once. Even after their divorce, he had never set foot in this place.

"Mr. Dermot?" The servant who saw Dermot appear had a look of disbelief on his face.

Dermot nodded and walked inside.

Although no one currently lived in Doyle Manor, there were still many servants inside who came out to greet Dermot upon his arrival.

"Go about your tasks, I'll just take a look around." Dermot dismissed them.

"Maria, you stay here, I have something to ask you."
