Chapter 312 I Don't Know What Do You Mean
Glancing at Lauren Stanley, who was not far away, the trainer clearly recognized her. "Miss Stanley? I know her. One of my friends is her personal trainer, and they have a great relationship. They often go out for meals together."
As he emphasized the word "meals," Evelyn immediately understood.
Again, she took out some more hundred-dollar bills from her bag and whispered to him, "Bring your friend here, but make sure that woman doesn't find out."
"Sure, consider it done. I'll take care of it," the trainer happily agreed, enjoying the fact that he could earn money by just saying a few words.
Before long, the personal trainer who worked with Lauren Stanley was brought over, and Evelyn didn't waste any words with him. With the same sentences and more money, she asked about Lauren Stanley's personal life.
To her surprise, this personal trainer did have an inappropriate relationship with Lauren Stanley.
Why was it considered inappropriate? Because the trainer had a girlfriend, and Lauren Stanley always claimed to be single.
After getting all the necessary information, Evelyn stood up and walked towards Lauren Stanley.
Lauren Stanley was still running when Evelyn approached her.
I ignored her and just treated her as another person in the gym.
It wasn't until Evelyn stood behind her for about two minutes that Lauren Stanley looked at her and said, "There's another treadmill next to me, you don't have to keep guarding mine."
"I'm not here to run," Evelyn said, smirking. "I came to find you."
In the gym lounge, Lauren Stanley drank warm water and glanced at Evelyn in front of her with a nonchalant expression. "What do you want to talk to me about?"
"I want to talk about the Stanley family," Evelyn said straightforwardly, without beating around the bush.
Almost instantly, Lauren Stanley frowned and looked displeased. "The Stanley family? I don't understand what you're talking about."
"But you're the Lady of the Stanley family, how can you not understand what I'm saying?" Evelyn smiled, knowing that the other person was pretending to be ignorant.
Lauren Stanley's face darkened, seemingly reluctant to let others know about her identity as part of the Stanley family. "What do you want with me? I never interfere in the affairs of the Stanley family."
Although she worked at the Stanley Group, she had never publicly acknowledged her identity as Lady of the Stanley family. She had made the separation between her and the Stanley family clear enough, but she didn't expect someone to come looking for her.
"I'm quite curious, actually. Why don't you ever mention your identity as Lady of the Stanley family to the public? The Stanley family has never mentioned having a daughter either." She could find information about the family from the outside, but she couldn't dig up this kind of family secret.
Lauren Stanley sipped her warm water and glanced at Evelyn. "Why should I tell you? Who are you?"
Until now, she still didn't know the identity of the woman in front of her. She had randomly approached her, saying all sorts of strange things.
"Evelyn, you can call me Evelyn," Evelyn said, smiling at Marina to show her goodwill.
Evelyn?
Lauren Stanley murmured and quickly realized, "Dermot's ex-wife?"
Evelyn: "..."
So, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape the identity of Dermot's ex-wife?
"What is it that you came to find me for? Just say it," knowing that she was Dermot's ex-wife, but Lauren Stanley's attitude didn't change much. Evelyn's identity didn't matter to her, and she didn't care.
Seeing her like this, Evelyn simply said, "I just feel that it's a pity that the Stanley family ended up in Oliver's hands. Don't you have any concerns about the Stanley family's future?"
