Chapter 388 Don't Listen to His Nonsense
The door opened, and Dermot's face appeared before Greg's eyes, surprising him.
"What are you doing here?"
"How did you come?"
Both of them spoke simultaneously, clearly surprised by each other's presence.
Dermot's face instantly darkened. He walked into the living room past Greg and saw Evelyn eating instant noodles.
Evelyn was also surprised by his appearance. She was thinking of chatting with Dermot at some point and didn't expect him to show up like this.
Greg closed the door and sat down across from Evelyn, deliberately provoking, "Mr. Doyle, would you like to have some food? Shall Evelyn make you a bowl too?"
Dermot remained silent with a black face, clearly very unhappy.
He rushed over because he heard about Evelyn's brand being in trouble, fearing that she would be upset.
But what did he see now?
Evelyn was actually with Greg, eating instant noodles together. If he hadn't arrived suddenly, who knows what these two would have done?
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became.
While he was dealing with Benjamin, afraid that he would harm Evelyn, he had been patient, thinking that as long as Evelyn was safe, he could do anything.
But what about the other side? Perhaps in these past few days, they didn't care about him at all.
Feeling Dermot's increasingly displeased expression, Evelyn sensed his anger and said to Greg in front of her, "Are you done eating? Finish up and get lost."
"Evelyn, how could you treat me like this? Have you forgotten about us…" he said, with an expression that made people imagine all sorts of things they had just done.
Evelyn instantly felt a great threat. Greg was trying to harm her.
"What nonsense are you spouting? I don't have anything with you. Don't deliberately frame me," Evelyn explained, walking over to open the door, wishing she could personally throw Greg out.
Seeing these two teasing each other, Dermot felt an indescribable bitterness in his heart. He felt like everything he had done was meaningless.
"That's enough!" the man shouted angrily, not even looking at Evelyn, and left the room.
He felt like he shouldn't have come in the first place. At least this way, he could still hold onto beautiful illusions.
As Dermot left, Evelyn's heart suddenly felt empty. She glared fiercely at Greg and hurriedly went after him.
Greg shrugged helplessly, realizing that he hadn't
"What's wrong with Dermot? Why is he so stingy?"
At the elevator entrance, Evelyn quickly stepped in with her long legs, successfully catching up to Dermot before the doors closed.
"Don't listen to him, he's just talking nonsense. He's deliberately trying to provoke our relationship," Evelyn explained, and continued, "He knows that too, but Dermot thought I shouldn't have given him a chance, and especially not let him into the room. What if Greg had bad intentions?"
Seeing Dermot still angry, Evelyn had to change the subject. "Are you done with your work?"
Dermot remained silent, his dark face serving as a reminder to Evelyn that he was still upset.
Evelyn was not happy about it.
"You come to see me after being so busy, and then get angry over such a small matter, Dermot, do you think that's appropriate?" She also had a cold expression, glancing sideways, fearless.
Upon hearing her words, Dermot, who was still angry, froze and turned to look at Evelyn. Seeing her face turned away, a sense of inexplicable sorrow rose in his heart.
Ultimately, it was his fault.
He sighed and reached out, turning Evelyn towards him, and the two locked eyes. "I'm sorry, I've been really busy lately, I didn't intentionally neglect you."
"What have you been busy with?" Evelyn asked, because she knew the Doyle Group hadn't been particularly busy recently, so Dermot had no reason to be so busy.
