Chapter 1153: You Don't Really Have a Thing for Her, Do You

"Oh, I see what game you're playing," the purser sneered, shooting the young flight attendant a death glare. "And let me tell you straight up, mess with this crew, and you're toast."

Before the flight attendant could even stammer a reply, she added, "You're way outta your depth. Do you even know who he is?"

"Who is he?" The flight attendant, fresh from another airline, had no clue about Dermot.

The purser didn't bother answering, just gave her a look that screamed 'pathetic.' "He's someone you don't wanna mess with."

With that, the purser stormed off. The flight attendant, feeling a bit rebellious, found Dermot's name on the passenger list and jotted it down, planning to Google him later.

The plane landed soon after, and Evelyn woke up just in time. They got up and headed out.

As they waited for their bags at the carousel, Evelyn noticed the flight attendant eyeing Dermot.

"Mr. Doyle," she cooed, leaning in with a flirty grin. "Here's my card. Anything you need, just hit me up. I'm all about making you happy."

Dermot looked confused.

Evelyn rolled her eyes.

The flight attendant winked at Dermot. She'd already done her homework online and knew who he was now.

Even though she knew her chances with Dermot were slim, she was down to be his secret fling if it came to that.

So, she made her move, not wanting to miss out.

Before Dermot could say anything, Evelyn snatched the business card from his hand, glanced at it, and tossed it into a nearby trash can. "Girl, even if you wanna be a side chick, you gotta know who you're dealing with. You sure about this?"

The flight attendant's face twisted in anger. Not knowing who Evelyn was, she snapped back. "You're too much! That was for Mr. Doyle. Who do you think you are to throw it away?"

"Because I'm his girlfriend, got it?" Evelyn turned to Dermot with a smile.

Evelyn's smile didn't reach her eyes, and Dermot felt a shiver down his spine. He knew he had to play it safe. "Absolutely," he nodded earnestly. "Whatever you say, I'm with you."

The flight attendant was speechless, thinking Dermot must be nuts. How could he turn down someone throwing themselves at him?

"Move it!" Their luggage had arrived, and Dermot had already grabbed it. Evelyn didn't want to waste any more time.

As they walked past her, Evelyn stopped again. "By the way, I'm filing a complaint against you. Think twice about who you hand your business card to if you wanna keep your job."

"You!" The flight attendant was fuming but also a bit scared.

She thought, 'Will this chick really complain about me?'

She wasn't scared of Evelyn but of Dermot. If Evelyn complained in Dermot's name, her job might really be on the line.

At that moment, she was a bit freaked out.

The flight attendant immediately called her supervisor and, after some sweet-talking, managed to set up a meeting.

Evelyn and Dermot didn't know and didn't care.

But Evelyn wasn't kidding about the complaint. As soon as they got in the car, she started making the call.

Dermot couldn't help but laugh as he watched her describe the flight attendant's attitude to the person on the other end.

After the call, Dermot said, "I thought you were joking. You really went through with it."

"I don't joke around," Evelyn shot him a look and then suspiciously asked, "You didn't actually like her, did you?"

Dermot was speechless and flicked her forehead. "What are you thinking? I just think someone like that isn't worth your time. If you're mad, I'll have someone handle it. No need for you to make the call yourself."
