"Do you think Dermot merging his company under Craig's name indicates that he will assist Craig if he assumes control of the Doyle family?" Ruby voiced her apprehensions.
If it were solely Craig, Ruby wouldn't be too concerned. Nevertheless, the current Craig was clearly no match for Evelyn.
However, Craig also had friends.
Ruby was aware of the situation between Dermot and Evelyn. With their relationship severed, Dermot was unlikely to offer further assistance to Evelyn. "Just because the Doyle family is currently at the top of the rankings doesn't guarantee their perpetual position. Ruby nodded, but her worries didn't diminish much.

"Ms. Kyte, how have you been?" Hubert spoke with a smile.
Evelyn was taken aback to see him. She had not expected Hubert to show up, especially considering he was currently the subject of ridicule throughout Colombia.
Despite the Kyte family's efforts to appease the Diaz family's anger, the Diaz family still incurred losses in this ordeal.
Evelyn nodded towards him. "Mr. Diaz, you are very generous to attend such an occasion."
"At least today was almost my engagement banquet with Lucia, so of course, I had to come and see," Hubert said, showing no signs of sadness or anger on his face.
Intrigued, Evelyn gazed at Hubert before inquiring, "You don't appear too distressed. I assumed you cared deeply for Lucia."
Hubert's readiness to comply with the terms suggested his affection for Lucia.
"Given our circumstances, love isn't the most crucial factor," Hubert replied with a carefree smile.
Evelyn was genuinely puzzled and couldn't understand Hubert's thoughts.
One thing she was certain of was that Hubert perhaps didn't truly hold strong feelings for Lucia; there could be other motives driving him to marry her.
Could it be Lucia's lineage as the Kyte family's daughter or the connection with the Roberts family?
Evelyn thought this was a possibility.
"Mr. Diaz makes a valid point." Evelyn didn't intend to continue the conversation with him. They weren't very familiar, so a few casual exchanges were enough.
Hubert didn't appear to have any intention of stopping there. He approached Evelyn and sat beside her. "Ms. Kyte, we've crossed paths on multiple occasions. Let's be friends, shall we?" Evelyn raised an eyebrow, gazing at Hubert.
"Mr. Diaz, speak your mind. We're not fools."
Friends?
Hubert shouldn't be lacking in friends.
"Ms. Kyte is straightforward."
Hubert didn't seem guilty of being exposed at all. Instead, he admitted directly, "Actually, I think you're a nice person, and I wanted to give you a chance."
Evelyn fell silent.
Ruby, who had been standing by, was also speechless.
Both of them were at a loss, not knowing where Hubert got the courage to say such things.
"Sorry, Mr. Diaz, I'm not interested in you." Evelyn smiled as she rejected him, but she was quite speechless inside.
Evelyn thought in her heart, 'Did Hubert think that if he couldn't marry Lucia, marrying me would be fine?'
