"Lucia, there's a signed contract. If Garrett went backreneged on it, he'd owe a fortune in breach of contract fees," Leap Lock explained.
"So we just let it go? Let her get away with it?" FrustrationLucia's frustration boiled in Luciaover, her opinion of Leap Lock plummeting. She saw him as completelyutterly useless.
She was relieved she had never gotten involved with him. Otherwise, he would have ruined her life.
Kevin, on the other hand, was different. A man like him was worthy of her.
Unaware of Lucia's inner thoughts, Leap Lock kept his calm,remained composed. "Don't worry about it. It's not like Evelyn's only opportunity. Next time, I'll make sure to block her for you."
Lucia huffed and hung up without ended the call abruptly, believing any further ado, thinking any more words wasted on him would be just that – a waste.
