Chapter 886 Your Affection Made Me Sick
Lucia stood there, stunned and a bit lost. "Why would Evelyn think that?"
In truth, her heart was racing with excitement. She wanted to know if Wade kept her around because he liked her, even a little.
"I've been thinking about his. You left and then came back suddenly. Do you feel the same way?" Wade wasn't dumb. He knew Lucia's sudden return was fishy. She must have a reason.
Feeling scared under Wade's intense gaze, Lucia quickly waved her hands. "How could that be? I don't."
Wade leaned in closer. "Really?"
The closeness made Lucia feel dizzy.
Since the night she schemed against Wade, they hadn't been this close. She could hear her heart pounding.
Maybe because her mind went blank, Lucia blurted out, "Yes, I do think you like me, even just a bit."
Wade laughed, but it was a scary laugh.
Lucia didn't back away. Instead, she leaned in and kissed him.
The warm sensation caught Wade off guard.
His brief distraction seemed to encourage Lucia. She not only kissed him but also reached for his chest.
However, Wade quickly snapped out of it and threw Lucia to the ground.
Wiping his mouth in disgust, he fumed, "Like you? You think you're worthy, huh?" He swept everything off the table in anger.
"Do you think I'd like a vicious woman like you? Are you out of your mind?" Wade continued to curse while Lucia curled up on the ground, not arguing back.
Lucia's feelings were complicated. Despite Wade's harsh words, she wasn't particularly sad. In fact, she felt a bit happy she had kissed him.
As she was thinking, Wade suddenly grabbed her by the neck, saying coldly, "What are you thinking? Do you think I won't do anything to you?"
Seeing no fear on Lucia's face made him even more upset.
Lucia suddenly said, "I like you, Wade."
This sudden confession left Wade completely bewildered.
He thought, 'Is Lucia crazy? I don't care about her feelings at all.'
Wade threw her aside and said, "Your affection makes me sick."
Lucia felt a bit sad, a pang in her chest, but she didn't say anything. She muttered, "Really? I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to."
Wade pointed at her, too angry to speak.
He took a deep breath, trying to stay calm, and then said, "Stand here and don't sleep. Without my permission, you're not allowed to sleep!"
Wade felt he needed to teach Lucia a lesson. Otherwise, she might get unrealistic ideas.
He thought, 'Like her? That was impossible.'
"Okay." Lucia didn't argue. She didn't think the punishment was too harsh. As long as Wade didn't kick her out, she still had a chance.
Today she had kissed his lips, so next time, she was determined to get him into bed.
Suddenly, Lucia was filled with determination, as if she had found her goal.
Wade had no idea what she was thinking. If he did, he would be even more furious.
After punishing Lucia, Wade got up and went back to his room. He didn't want to see her for another second.
