Chapter 138 Won't You Miss Me?
After having dinner with Ruby Kite, Evelyn took a taxi back home, unaware that she was once again being targeted by the Barns family.
she was not worried. with her skills, except for someone like Dermot who was a master in disguise, hardly anyone could match her.
The next day, when Evelyn arrived at the hospital, Greg entered her office looking a little unhappy. "Evelyn, something has happened in Colombia, and I have to go back," he said.
Hmm, go ahead," Evelyn responded.
"Don't you miss me?" Greg was hurt by her dismissive attitude. He thought they had some kind of relationship.
Evelyn looked up at him and said, "Well, Colombia isn't too far from here. You can finish your business there and come back."
"Yeah, you're right," Greg agreed, his face brightening with a smile.
Evelyn was speechless and didn't feel like saying much to him.
"If you need anything, just give me a call. As long as the Hamilton Family is under my control, I will do my best to help you," he said to Evelyn.
Upon Evelyn was surprised. Did this mean she had a good relationship with the Hamilton Family? Well, maybe she did. She hadn't realized that her grandfather's instructions were so fulfilled. She had always thought that forming good relationships with these prominent families wouldn't be easy. It seemed she had overcomplicated things.
Evelyn couldn't help but ask, "Do you know an old man named Edwin Morgans?"
"Edwin?" Greg pondered and then shook his head. "I don't know him. Who is he to you? Are you looking for him? I can help."
"No, it's fine. He was my grandfather, and he passed away," Evelyn explained. She was curious about the connection between her grandfather and these prominent families and why he had specifically instructed her to form relationships with them.
Greg felt remorseful. "I'm sorry, I didn't know..."
"It's okay, I didn't mind," she waved her hand. That wasn't what she was concerned about.
Greg heaved a sigh of relief and then asked, "Your grandfather? How is it that he had the last name Morgans?"
"My grandfather said I didn't share his last name," Evelyn revealed. In truth, she didn't know who she shared her last name with. She only knew she had to carry the Kyte surname, but her grandfather never told her the reason.
Greg said, "There is no prominent Morgans family in Colombia. As for other individuals with the Morgans last name, I wouldn't be able to help."
"No need, I must have been mistaken. My grandfather was just an ordinary old man, and you couldn't possibly know him."
It was clear to her that Greg, being surrounded by people from prominent families like, wouldn't have known her grandfather. No matter how she thought about it, he was just an ordinary old man with no connection to any prominent family.
But if that was the case, why would he instruct her to protect and form a good relationship with the Hamilton Family?
Evelyn's head began to ache.
"Evelyn, if I can't come to Moris City, would you come to Colombia to see me?" Greg asked, unaware of what she was going through and feeling reluctant to part ways.
"Yes, I will come to Colombia."
it's not to see him, but to find the answer.
Upon receiving this answer, Greg was very happy, and when he left the office, there was still a smile on his face.
However, Evelyn didn't have time to think about anything else. The first surgery of the day was about to start. After Greg left, she got up and left the office, headed for the operating room.
At the Doyle Group, Natalie came early in the morning to find Dermot. She hadn't given up on this man, and more importantly, her plan was going to be executed today, so she had to make sure she had an alibi for.
"Dermot, let's go see Grandpa Doyle at Doyal Mansion today, shall we?" she spoke, looking at the busy man.
