Chapter 181 Can't Bear to See Her Succeed
Keith said "Don't worry, no matter what, Evelyn and I are acquaintances, and I consider her a friend. How could I..."
"Can you help a friend?" Dermot sneered.
A friend?
It's a friend who can be used at any time.
As the conversation between the two ended, the wedding ceremony of Natalie and Oliver on stage came to an end. the two were toasting at each table, and soon it was Dermot's turn.
"Greg, congratulations." Dermot raised his glass. Although he and Oliver were not familiar, they were acquainted to some extent and did not have any conflicts usually, so he naturally had to give face.
Oliver smiled happily. It could be seen that he was very pleased. "Thank you, Mr. Doyle. Eat and drink well, and don't be polite to me."
While the two were still conversing, Keith deliberately said, "Greg is generous. Dermot and Natalie were almost married."
In his view, Oliver was not generous at all. He was clearly naive.
The news about Natalie and Dermot had been circulating online for the past few days. Oliver treated such a woman as a treasure and married her. Keith wondered what Oliver was thinking.
His words aroused a shared animosity from Natalie and Dermot, Natalie.
Her eyes stared at Keith like knives, as if she wanted to go up and give him a few slashes.
Dermot didn't think that way. He just felt that Keith were inappropriate at Oliver's wedding, and he deliberately caused trouble.
In comparison, Oliver remained calm. He smiled and said, "Mr. Kartland mentioned that it was almost. Since it was almost, it means they weren't meant for each other. There's nothing to argue about."
"Huh, Oliver is open-minded," Keith sneered.
"Oliver, let's go to that table. There are more guests today, so we need to be efficient," Natalie pulled Oliver's sleeve, not wanting him to continue talking to Keith.
Oliver turned back. "Alright."
the two then left and headed towards another table. Keith watched their departing figures and couldn't help but say, "Is Oliver foolish or pretending to be? Marry a woman like Natalie, who has ambitions, isn't he afraid of the Stanley family changing hands?"
"What does it have to do with you?" Dermot sighed. "Maybe he just likes Natalie. Do you have a problem with that?"
"What problem can I have? I just can't stand Natalie being a good person." he had some relationship with Evelyn, so it wouldn't hurt to help her vent some anger.
Dermot held his glass and stood up, leaving his seat. He didn't want to stay with Keith any longer as he thought there was something wrong with him.
Keith didn't care about Dermot leaving. He glanced at the guests, searching for his target.
During the break, Natalie changed out of her dress and looked at Oliver, who was changing clothes. A trace of disgust flashed in her eyes, but it disappeared.
"Oliver, what Keith just said...," she bit her lip, worried that he would mind.
She realized that they were dissatisfied with her, and it was Oliver who insisted on marrying her.
She was well aware that Oliver was her reliance in the Stanley family, so despite her dislike, she had to please him and even make him like her more.
Oliver changed his clothes and turned to look at her. "Natalie, since I've decided to marry you, I won't care about the past anymore."
"Don't say that there's nothing between you and Dermot, even if there is, I won't mind," he walked over to Natalie, holding her, "I like you as a person, and it has nothing to do with anyone else."
A strong discomfort filled Natalie's body, but she didn't push him away.
