Chapter 1043: Calm Down
When Niall saw Evelyn coming at him with a huge snowball, he got scared.
"Evelyn, chill out," Niall said, backing away. Lily, next to him, tried not to laugh.
"I'm totally calm," Evelyn replied with a mischievous grin.
Niall regretted provoking her. Now he was in trouble. Evelyn didn't throw the snowball; she handed it to him. "You want to do it yourself or should I?"
"I'll do it," Niall quickly said.
If he did it, he could control the impact. If Evelyn did it, he might end up in the hospital.
So, with everyone watching, Niall lifted the big snowball and dropped it on his own head, feeling the icy chill.
Evelyn burst out laughing. Just then, a small snowball lightly hit her. She turned to see Lily pouting. "Evelyn, I'll protect Niall."
"Oh, you two are teaming up on me? Let's see what you got," Evelyn said, moving toward Lily.
Niall rushed to protect Lily, and soon the three of them were in a snowball fight.
Dermot quickly joined in. No way was he letting Evelyn get bullied.
Aidan and Joshua stood aside, just watching.
"Aren't you joining?" Joshua asked.
Aidan scoffed, "Nah, that's kid stuff."
Joshua held back a retort. Kid stuff? It looked like fun. He wished he could join, but...
Then Brandon spoke up. "Mr. Garcia, can I join?"
He was itching to get in on the action. How could he miss out?
Joshua sighed, "Go ahead."
"Thanks, Mr. Garcia." Brandon ran over and joined the fun.
Aidan laughed, looking on. "Your guy's pretty interesting."
"Yeah, everyone has a bit of kid in them," Joshua said, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Maybe they were making too much noise because other families joined in. Soon, the snowball fight turned into a community event.
At the guardhouse, two security guards exchanged looks. "Are we still guarding the fanciest neighborhood in Colombia?"
These folks were usually too stuck-up to even look at you. A snowball fight? Unbelievable.
"Maybe everyone just needs to relax," the other guard said.
The snowball fight lasted two hours. Evelyn and her group didn't go back to Joshua's villa but headed to Dermot's.
Inside, the warmth made everyone comfortable, but their smiles showed how happy they were.
Craig arrived with Lydia, looking annoyed.
"Evelyn, I came to join the party. You don't mind, right?" Lydia asked, looking at Evelyn like she was her savior.
She had tagged along with Craig to wish him a Happy New Year at midnight.
Evelyn was surprised but nodded. "I don't mind, but this is Dermot's place. Ask him."
Lydia looked at Dermot, who smiled. "It's fine."
Lydia sighed in relief and smiled.
