Chapter 836 Mr. Doyle Also Wants to Marry into the Kyte Family

Joshua stepped out of the Kyte Group and slid into the car waiting at the curb. His smile faded, replaced by a more serious look.

"Mr. Garcia, the job's done," someone inside the car reported.

Joshua nodded. "No traces left behind, right?"

"Don't worry, we covered our tracks. No one will trace it back to us," the other person replied.

Joshua nodded again, satisfied.

But then the person asked, "Mr. Garcia, what did Eugene do to provoke you?? Why involve us?"

Since Joshua had returned from abroad, this was the first time Joshua had contacted them for a job, and they were all very curious.

"He almost killed the person I care about most," Joshua said coldly. "So he deserves to die."

If the court had sentenced Eugene to death, Joshua wouldn't have bothered. But the court didn't, and Joshua couldn't stand the thought of Eugene walking free.

From the moment Eugene took Evelyn hostage, he lost any right to live in Joshua's eyes.

His subordinates didn't know who Joshua cared about, but that didn't matter. As their boss, Joshua decided who lived and who died.

After a moment, Joshua composed himself. "I asked you to follow Dermot. Any leads?"

"No, Dermot's activities have been very regular, nothing unusual," the subordinate replied.

Joshua frowned, feeling it was odd. Gerald and James were clearly gunning for Dermot. Was he really not worried? Had he made no plans?

"Keep watching him," Joshua ordered.

"Got it."

After discussing some specifics, Joshua parted ways with his team. He didn't want to expose them or reveal his other identity.

If possible, continuing to work at the Kyte Group like this was quite good.

Of course, the most important thing was that he could marry Evelyn.

Thinking of her, he called Evelyn to invite her to dinner.

"Sorry, Joshua. I have plans tonight," Evelyn said in an apologetic voice. Joshua smiled and said it was fine, but his face darkened after he hung up.

In the restaurant, Evelyn put away her phone, and Dermot looked at her.

"Was that Joshua?" he asked.

"Yeah." Evelyn didn't deny it and kept eating.

"Are you really planning to let him marry into the Kyte family?" Dermot asked anxiously.

Evelyn sighed. "Mr. Doyle, that's none of your business. Aren't you overstepping?"

"Sorry, I'm just worried," Dermot said, looking a bit downcast.

Evelyn felt a bit helpless. "What are you worried about? This has nothing to do with you."

"Of course it does. If you let him marry into the Kyte family, then I won't have a chance, will I?" Dermot said, clearly worried about how close Evelyn and Joshua were getting.

Evelyn rolled her eyes. "What? Do you want to marry into the Kyte family like him?"

"If you're willing, it's not impossible," Dermot said. He didn't care about marrying into the Kyte family; he just wanted to be with Evelyn.

Evelyn was speechless and a bit shocked. "Are you really willing to marry into the Kyte family?"

"Yes, but the question is, are you willing to let me?" Dermot asked.
