Chapter 18
At Moris Hospital.
As soon as Evelyn got off work, she received Aidan's call. Knowing that Aidan was outside the hospital now, Evelyn changed her clothes and hurried out.
"Aidan." Seeing Aidan leaning on the car not far away, Evelyn smiled and waved to him.
She walked to Aidan. "Aidan, why are you here?"
"Didn't you ask me to help you? After I got something, I came." Aidan smiled at Evelyn with doting eyes.
Hearing this, Evelyn was surprised. "Really?"
"Yeah."
Then, Aidan handed Evelyn a document, explaining, "This company intends to purchase the Kite Group's goods. Let your friend call them."
"This..." Evelyn held the document, shocked.
'That's it? Problem solved?' Evelyn thought in disbelief.
"Aidan, that's amazing," Evelyn couldn't help exclaiming as she was so impressed by Aidan's efficiency.
Aidan reached out, touched Evelyn's head, and said, "Can I not take what you asked me seriously?"
In fact, to help Evelyn solve the problem as soon as possible, Aidan didn't even take a short break after Evelyn's call.
After all, it was the first time Evelyn asked Aidan for help.
"No, you can't. Aidan, thank you so much," Evelyn thanked Aidan sweetly. "Let's go for dinner, Aidan. My treat."
"OK. Then I must have a feast." Aidan nodded. Then, they got into the car and left happily.
In the restaurant, Evelyn sent the documents to Ruby and asked her to contact the company as soon as possible before feeling relief.
"So Ruby said bad words about Dermot, which was heard by him. That's why Dermot stopped doing business with the Kite Group, right?" Aidan asked as he picked up some food for Evelyn.
Evelyn nodded and couldn't help complaining, "The next day after that, the Kite Group's cooperation was suspended. I didn't expect Dermot to be so stingy."
Aidan shook his head and said to Evelyn, "As far as I know, Dermot isn't such an impulsive man. There must be some other reason for him to do that."
Dermot, a man who led the Doyle Group to become a big group like this today, was definitely not an impulsive man.
Evelyn also agreed with it, but she just couldn't stop thinking about another possibility.
"What do you think is the reason, Aidan?" Evelyn asked as she didn't know much about business matters.
After a moment of silence, Aidan said, "Stop doing business with the Kite Group means he has to find a new supplier, right? Think about who will win in the end, then you'll find the answer."
Evelyn suddenly realized it. "I'll ask Niall to check it for me."
"OK." Aidan nodded and didn't object.
When the two were eating and chatting happily, an unharmonious voice suddenly sounded in their ears, making Evelyn subconsciously frown.
"Dr. Kyte? I'm surprised to see you here," Cassie smiled and looked very happy.
But Dermot, standing beside Cassie with a cold face, seemed unhappy.
Evelyn changed her expression and turned to Cassie. "Yeah. I'm surprised too."
"Let's share the table. It's a lot of fun when lots of people eat together," Cassie suggested.
Evelyn frowned slightly. "I don't think Mr. Doyle wanna share the table with us."
In Evelyn's mind, Dermot would never eat in the lobby. He should have his meal in his private room.
But Cassie seemed unable to hear Evelyn's reluctance. She turned to Dermot and asked, "Dermot, what do you think?"
