Chapter 732 Now You Beg Me
Late at night, Evelyn took Jennifer to Luke's place, had him arrange the staff dormitory, and then returned to the Kyte family.
When she got home, it was already very late. Blake was already asleep, but Dora was still in the living room.
Seeing Evelyn return, Dora opened her previously closed eyes and said, "Coming back this late, you weren't out having fun, were you?"
"What? Are you jealous that I can go outside and you can't?" Evelyn sneered, then added, "If you really want to do so that much, why not divorce my dad? That way, no one will control you."
Dora's eyes widened in disbelief that Evelyn could say divorce so baldly.
She stood up and walked over to Evelyn. "What are you talking about? How can you incite me to divorce Blake?"
"Why not?" Evelyn retorted. They never got along anyway, so was there any need to pretend?
Dora wanted to hit her but held back. "I hope you won't say such things in front of your dad. He's not young anymore. If he really divorces me, he'll be alone. Don't you feel sorry for him?"
'How do you know he'll be alone after divorcing you? With my dad's qualities, there are plenty of women who would want to marry him,' She thought to herself.
Dora gritted her teeth, suppressing her anger. "What exactly do you want? Do you have to tear this family apart to be satisfied?"
Evelyn shrugged indifferently. "So what if I do?"
"Evelyn!" Dora roared, almost losing control.
Facing her anger, Evelyn showed no fear, even smiling slightly.
Dora quickly regained her composure, not forgetting her purpose for waiting for Evelyn tonight. "Don't you want to know where your mother is?"
At these words, Evelyn's eyes instantly sharpened. "What do you mean?"
"It's simple. I know where your mother is. She's in my hands," Dora said.
Evelyn frowned with somewhat suspicion. "Isn't my mother already dead?"
"She's not dead. Actually, my people took her away back then. I've been keeping her locked up all these years. She's still alive, just not living well," she said with a smile.
Seeing a hint of panic on Evelyn's face, she smiled even more triumphantly. "If you want her to stay alive, I advise you not to act rashly."
"What do you want?" Evelyn asked.
Finally hearing this question, Dora breathed a sigh of relief. "Convince Blake and Wade to stop going after the Roberts family."
As expected, this answer was just what Evelyn had guessed.
"That's not difficult, but why should I believe what you say? Do you have any proof that my mother is still alive?" She looked at Dora, seemingly genuinely doubtful.
Dora showed no hesitation, taking a few photos from her bag and handing them to Evelyn. "See for yourself."
Evelyn took them. There were photos of a woman with her hands tied by ropes, but Evelyn recognized the face.
She had seen photos of her mother from Blake, and the woman in Dora's photos was the same.
However, she felt something was off.
"I'll convince them, but after it's done, you must release her," Evelyn said.
Dora sneered triumphantly. "Evelyn, get it straight. You're the one begging me, not the other way around. You have no right to negotiate unless you want her dead."
Evelyn frowned, looking at Dora's smug expression, feeling uncertain. "Fine, I'll do as you say."
