Chapter 226 You Have Nerve
"As long as Ruby is safe, I don't want to be enemies with the Irvine family either." Evelyn spoke, her meaning very clear.
She didn't intend to let the contents of the document be leaked when she came today. It was just to intimidate Craig.
Craig sat back in his seat, leaning against the chair.
"You hold something in your hand that is a matter of life and death for the Irvine family. Why should I trust you?"
"You have no choice but to trust me," Evelyn frowned. Her words were harsh, but they were the truth.
Craig looked at the woman, then turned to Dermot. "You can't control a woman like her."
"Enough talk, release the person," Dermot couldn't be bothered with him. He liked Evelyn, it wasn't about controlling her.
Craig shrugged, "Fine, for Dermot's sake, I will release the person."
Evelyn said. If it were for Dermot's sake, the person would have been released long ago. Why did it have to come to this?
It was all because of the fear of the contents of that document being revealed. But Evelyn didn't want to expose it, as long as the person was safe, nothing else mattered.
Ruby Kite was brought to the hall by the bodyguards.
She thought it was Craig looking for her again, but she didn't expect to see Evelyn in the hall. She became excited. "Evelyn!"
"Ruby!" Evelyn was excited, seeing that she was fine. Although she had slimmed down a bit, she was alright.

"I called you back to tell you to be more careful when you go out in the future. The chances of you dying in an accident are not small." Although he said it with a smile, it sent a chill down one's spine.
She understood the meaning behind Craig. With her holding the fate of the Irvine family in her hands, the other party wouldn't back off.
The best solution would be to make her disappear from this world, then everything would be safe.
Aidan glared at Craig. "If you dare to harm Evelyn, even if I have to die with you, I won't let you go."
"Don't be so nervous, did I say something like that? I never said I would harm her," he laughed, infuriating everyone.
Aidan wanted to say something, but Evelyn stopped him. "It's okay, let Mr. Irvine come. Anyway, whenever I encounter danger in the future, I will blame it on Mr. Irvine's actions."
"Aidan, when the time comes, you will help me hand over the document. I believe that this way, Mr. Irvine will want me to stay alive."

"Same to you," Evelyn replied.
Ruby Kite stood behind Evelyn, not knowing what the two were saying, but she understood that Evelyn must have had an unpleasant conflict with Craig in order to protect her.
She felt guilty and couldn't help but glance at Craig not far away. "If you dare lay a hand on Evelyn, I won't let you off even if I die!"
