Chapter 202 Never Be with Him
"A technical consultant?" Evelyn pondered for a moment and hesitated. "Actually, it’s not necessary, Niall. Your technical skills are not worse than mine; we just have different areas of expertise."
Niall's company was focused on cybersecurity, and Evelyn felt that he could handle it perfectly fine. She was better at offense rather than defense.
"That's why I invited you to join. Wouldn't my company be both civil and military?" Niall smiled, revealing his true intentions.
Hearing that, Evelyn thought for a moment and nodded, "Alright, but I don't have much time to go to the company normally."
"No problem. Come whenever you want," Niall didn't want to bring pressure to Evelyn, so he wouldn't usually bother her.
The two of them reached an agreement, and Aidan, who was beside them, felt complicated. "Evelyn, I invited you to join my company before, but you never agreed."
"That's because I at least understand something about Niall's company, but I have no idea about yours, Aidan. There's no meaning for me to join." Aidan no longer needed help from others with his current capabilities, so Evelyn didn't agree.
Aidan didn't continue to argue with her. He didn't care about that. What he cared about was the relationship between Evelyn and Dermot.
Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm down, "I'll personally cook for you at noon to welcome you."
"Great," Evelyn nodded. "Ethan and Mia can also taste Aidan's cooking. They'll definitely love it."
Saying that, Aidan got up and went to the kitchen, looked around the refrigerator, and then said to Evelyn, "We're out of groceries. Let's go grocery shopping together."
"Okay," Evelyn nodded. "Niall, take care of the two kids and don't let them run off."
"Don't worry. Kids like playing with me" Niall nodded confidently. When he was in Tara Village, he often played with the kids there and already knew their preferences.
Evelyn and Aidan left, and Niall immediately called the two kids out to play games with him.
What could be more fun than playing games?
The answer was nothing.
"Eve said we're too young and can't play games," Ethan looked at the game controller Niall handed over and firmly refused.
"It's okay, just play for a little while." Niall said.
Ethan still refused and took Mia to the side, "Uncle Niall, you can play by yourself. We'll play with toys."
Niall, "..."
What's wrong with you two kids? Remember, back in the village, the kids would fight over playing games with him. Now they refuse?
Hmph, I don't believe you can really resist!
Niall no longer paid attention to them and started playing by himself, but sneak a glance at the two kids.
Soon enough, the two kids were indeed drawn to the game. Niall felt proud in his heart. You want to play now?
No way.
In the supermarket, Evelyn and Aidan pushed the shopping cart to the vegetable section, but Aidan suddenly stopped and looked at her.
Evelyn was puzzled, "What's wrong, Aidan?"
"Can you promise me one thing, Evelyn?" Aidan couldn't hold it in and decided to speak up.
"What?" Evelyn felt that they didn't need to be so polite with each other.
"Never be with Dermot," Aidan said, his gaze always fixed on Evelyn, not missing the surprise in her eyes.
Evelyn was indeed surprised. She didn't expect Aidan to make such a request, which was completely different from his usual self.
"Can you promise me, Evelyn?" Aidan couldn't control himself to ask when she didn't respond, as if he had to make her give an answer.
