Chapter 434 Not Tired?

Greg hung his head low. He knew what Evelyn was saying, but he couldn't shake off his worries.
The two of them quietly waited, unaware that on the other side of Colombia, inside an imposing castle, a family was discussing her.

"Mom, Dad, did you know? That Hamilton kid brought a girl home today." The young and beautiful girl spoke with curiosity to her parents, a smile on her face.

The woman sitting at the head raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Really? What kind of girl? I heard he wasn't interested in women."

The woman's name was Dora Kyte, the matriarch of the Kyte family. Sitting next to her was Blake Kyte, the head of the Kyte family. The girl who had just spoken was their only daughter, Lucia Kyte.

"I heard she's from a small town, probably not someone remarkable. I'm sure the Hamilton family must strongly oppose it. Who knows, they might be causing a big fuss right now," Lucia said cheerfully.

She wasn't very familiar with Greg either, having only met him twice at occasional banquets. After all, the heir of such a second-rate family wasn't worthy of being her friend. Of course, this didn't hinder her curiosity.

"The kid is too naive. How can he decide for himself, on matters of marriage, when he's part of a big family?" Dora casually remarked, but her eyes couldn't help but glance, at the person, beside her.

The man was eating, seemingly oblivious to the conversation, as if they were all just air. Lucia's excitement was undeterred, and she didn't notice the peculiar atmosphere between her parents.

She continued, "I heard that woman once saved Grandpa Doyle's life, that's why that boy treats her so specially."

"Who knows if it was a calculated move. I bet the other party approached him with ulterior motives, but that naive boy sees her as his savior," Dora continued, speaking, but Blake took it to heart. The comment wasn’t pleasant to hear.

He put down his chopsticks and looked at Dora coldly. "Are you looking for a fight this early in the morning?"

Dora, was taken aback, and became somewhat annoyed. "What's the matter? Can't eat because I hit the nail on the head?"

"You’re being unreasonable!" Blake got up and was irritated just by looking at the woman.
He left the living room, probably going to be busy at work.

Dora didn't mind, no matter how angry that man was, he would still obediently marry her. As for that wretched woman, her bones had probably turned to ashes by now.

Lucia looked at her mother in silence, feeling slightly unhappy. "Mom, why do you always provoke Dad?"

"You don't understand, it's not as simple as you think between your dad and me." She showed a much better attitude, toward her daughter.

Lucia didn't understand. Since she could remember, they had never sat down to have a meal properly.

She sighed and patiently advised, "I know you mind that Dad used to like other women, but I heard that person is dead now. After all, Dad is still married you, right? Is it necessary to keep harping on this? Do you all want to be like this for the rest of your lives? Don't you think it's tiring?"

She really didn't understand. Since the past is already over, why bring it up again? Unfortunately, Dora didn’t think so.

"Tiring?" She chuckled. "How could it be tiring? This is the source of my lifelong happiness, dear."

Thinking about how Blake used to treat her, her greatest joy now was to see him suffer. How could she be tired?
