Chapter 404 Don't You Think You've Gone Too Far?

In her apartment, Evelyn sat on the couch with her laptop. If Greg were here, he would definitely mock her for what was on her computer screen.

And the reason was simple: at this moment, the prominent information on Evelyn's computer screen was about Colombia's Baker family.

Greg didn't lie to her. The woman beside Dermot really was Lady L from the Baker family.
Assie, the Baker family in Colombia is indeed similar to the Hamilton family, classified as second-tier families in Colombia.

At this moment, Evelyn's mood is complicated.
Dermot wouldn't meet a woman without reason, especially alone.

Shaking her head, she forced herself not to think about it. After all, what does it have to do with her? Even if they were really going to be together, it wouldn't concern her.

With these thoughts, she closed the page and got up to go to sleep.
That's when the door rang.

Subconsciously glancing at the time, it was ten o'clock in the evening. Who would be looking for her at this hour?

With doubts, she walked towards the door, opened it, and Dermot's face instantly appeared in her line of sight.
"You..."
Before she could finish saying "you," the man's body instantly pressed against her, trapping her in the corner, unable to move.

Dermot smelled of alcohol, suggesting that he must have been drunk. She pushed him away with her hand, "What are you doing here? Is there something wrong?"

"Can't I come see you for no reason? Already moved on so quickly?" Dermot's words carried a hint of resentment, obviously referring to Evelyn and Greg.

When it came to moving on, Evelyn felt that she had more grounds to question the man in front of her.

But she didn't, she just looked at him lightly, reminding him, "We've already broken up."
In short, it was her own business whom she wanted to be with, and Dermot had no say in it.
Similarly, she had no say in whom Dermot wanted to have a meal with.

The words "broken up" seemed to provoke Dermot. Without saying a word, he leaned in for a dominant and passionate kiss that Evelyn found hard to resist.

Before they knew it, they were kissing on the couch, and Dermot's hand had found its way to her thigh.

Just as the man was about to take the next step, Evelyn seemed to suddenly wake up, pushing him away and angrily scolding, "You jerk!"

Dermot smirked, somewhat smug, "I'm the jerk? I don't recall who didn't push away the jerk just now."
"You!" Evelyn was frustrated and annoyed. Why didn't she push him away the first time?

Dermot licked his lips, seemingly savoring the moment, which made Evelyn even more flushed, wishing she could disappear into the ground.

"What are you here for anyway? If there's nothing, leave quickly." Evelyn issued the order for him to leave, feeling that she shouldn't have opened the door for Dermot.

Dermot approached her, his smile disappearing from his face. "Since you know that Greg has ulterior motives towards you, why would you have dinner with him?"

"This is my business, no need for your interference." Once those words were out, Dermot's expression turned even uglier.

He stared at Evelyn and said coldly, "I'll give you one more chance to speak properly, otherwise, I won't mind doing something."

He meant it, and recalling the scene just now, Evelyn was both angry and frustrated, but she also had no way to deal with him.

She couldn't win in a fight, so what could she do?
"I have something." She could only answer coldly.

"What's the matter? What's wrong?" Dermot clearly wanted to get to the bottom of things. He wouldn't really let Evelyn be with Greg.

Break up?
In his eyes, this was just a show to impress Benjamin. He didn't really believe that he and Evelyn had broken up.

Evelyn was annoyed by his questioning and said discontentedly, "You also go out to eat with other women. Why do you think you can interfere in my affairs with Greg? Dermot, don't you think you're going too far?"
