Chapter 325 He Has Ill Intentions
Greg sipped his tea, feeling a sense of being exposed.
"There's no need to beat around the bush. Mr. Hamilton, why don't you just state your purpose directly? If I can help, I will do my best." The reason she agreed to have dinner with Greg and the others was actually to probe into his intentions.
Greg tugged at the corner of his mouth, thinking to himself that if you agree to marry me, then indeed you would be able to help in this matter; otherwise, it would be in vain.
Finishing his tea, Greg had to put down his cup and lock eyes with Evelyn. "I really was just talking nonsense. Why did you agree to Dermot but not to me? That made me very angry. Furthermore, I have only one goal, and that is to hope that you can be my girlfriend, or even marry me directly. I definitely won't be an asshole like Dermot."
This remark instantly annoyed Dermot. What do you mean by that? If you want to talk about yourself, then talk about yourself. Why do you bring me into this?
"Evey, don't mind him. I think he has ill intentions," Dermot regretted it. He should have just taken Evelyn home to cook, so as to avoid running into this lunatic.
Greg didn't want to tell the truth, and Evelyn didn't ask further. She just treated him with natural indifference. "Since Mr. Hamilton is unwilling to speak the truth, after this meal, please refrain from disturbing me."
"Evelyn..."
"Mr. Hamilton, if you want to make friends, you should know that friends should treat each other sincerely, not with deception." Although she didn't know what Greg's true purpose was, she was certain of one thing, just like Dermot said, this guy definitely had ill intentions.
Being spoken to like this made Greg feel a bit unable to lift his head.
In other matters, he could use his identity as a member of the Hamilton family to overpower others, but when it came to emotions, how could he use that to his advantage? It would probably only make people more repulsed.
His gaze turned to Dermot with some displeasure. "You're right that treating each other sincerely is correct, but are you sure the person beside you is also treating you sincerely?"
Dermot was only able to become Evelyn's boyfriend because he knew her first. Otherwise, who knows who would have become Evelyn's boyfriend.
"What do you mean? What right do you have to say that I'm not treating Evelyn sincerely?" Dermot stood up, feeling irritated by Greg's words.
greg's patience had reached its limit.
Greg didn't back down at all and looked at Dermot with a sneer, "Talking about sincerity isn't just about words. Why are you being so loud?"
"Greg, don't think that just because you're part of the Hamilton family, I will be afraid of you. If you provoke me, I'll make sure you can't leave Moris City." Dermot knew that he was still on his turf, and if he really wanted to take action against Greg, there would be no chance for resistance.
Greg cleared his throat, believing that Dermot had the capability to do so. "What are you going to do? Silence me because I've seen through your schemes?"
"You!" Dermot was about to charge forward.
But Evelyn grabbed him in time, averting a fight. "Let it go, what's the point of arguing with him?"
"Evey," Dermot was unwilling to let it go.
"No matter what he says, do you think I would believe him over you? There's no need to get so angry." Evelyn comforted Dermot, feeling that he didn't need to be angry.
Although she was certain that Greg had ulterior motives for getting close to her, she still believed in Dermot and didn't care about what Greg said.
Hearing her words, Dermot breathed a sigh of relief. "Evey, thank you."
"What are you thanking me for? If there's no basic trust between boyfriend and girlfriend, how can we continue?" Evelyn felt that there was nothing to thank her for. It should be a given.
"You're right, I acted impulsively." Dermot sat back down, deciding to ignore Greg's presence.
