Chapter 210 I Haven't Slapped Enough Yet
In the dining hall, when Evelyn approached, Natalie was already being comforted by Oliver, and as soon as she appeared, she felt his hostile gaze on her.
Marina, who was walking slowly, approached and asked, "Miss Barns, what happened?"
"Ms. Kyte, I know I was wrong before. But I have already apologized and you have forgiven me just now, so why..." she cried, revealing her slapped cheek.
Oliver's mood turned sour, and his gaze towards Evelyn was not just unfriendly, but filled with enmity.
Evelyn couldn't help but laugh, "Miss Barns, are you trying to say that I hit you?"
"Ms. Kyte, if you don't admit it, I can't do anything. There are indeed no surveillance cameras in the bathroom, and I have no evidence," Natalie said, sounding especially wronged.
Oliver held her tightly, coldly looking at Evelyn.
"I thought Ms. Kyte was at least someone who would do as she said, but I didn't expect her to turn around and get physical with Natalie. It's truly eye-opening."
"Being two-faced like this, doesn't Ms. Kyte think it's despicable?"
Listening to Oliver's words, Evelyn didn't react, but it was Dermot who seemed unwilling.
"Mr. Stanley, watch your words. Does Natalie's words mean everything? Do you think Evelyn has no one to back her up?" he said, already standing next to Evelyn, his meaning quite clear.
Evelyn's heart moved, and she glanced at the man next to her, unable to describe her feelings.
Although she could handle the situation herself and didn't need Dermot's help, it felt different when he took the initiative to speak up for her.
Seeing Natalie's aggrieved tears, she looked towards Dermot and said, "Dermot, I know that I have you protecting me, and I don't want to be enemies with Ms. Kyte. I initiated the peace today, but I didn't expect her..."
"Heh, Evelyn didn't hit you. Even if she did, so what?" Dermot glanced at her; his words filled with dominance.
Natalie was speechless, and even Oliver's expression wasn't too good.
However, Evelyn was quite satisfied with his words. That's exactly how she thought - so what if she hit her?
Taking a step towards Natalie, Oliver immediately acted as if facing a great enemy, shielding Natalie behind him. "What do you want to do?"
"Mr. Stanley, Don’t be nervous. I just have a few questions for Miss Barns." Evelyn smiled faintly, looking at Natalie.
"Are you sure it was me who slapped you?" Evelyn asked.
With red eyes, Natalie pointed to the clear handprint on her cheek. "Ms. Kyte, the evidence is still on my face. What else can you argue about?"
Evelyn nodded in satisfaction. Just as Natalie was confused as to what she meant, Evelyn made her move.
She raised her right hand with all her strength and slapped Natalie.
Oliver saw it and wanted to stop it, but he wasn't successful.
With a slap sound, Natalie staggered and almost fell to the ground, the pain and disbelief filling her cheeks, as she stared blankly at Evelyn.
Evelyn shook her hand self-deprecatingly and said, "I have to say, hitting someone really hurts."
If she felt that much pain, let alone Natalie. This time, tears truly poured down.
"Evelyn!" Natalie roared and rushed towards Evelyn as if she was going to fight her to the death.
Of course, she didn't even get close before being stopped by Dermot. "As long as I'm here, no one can hurt her."
"Dermot..."
"Don't worry, Dermot. Let her come. I haven't slapped enough yet," she laughed and raised her eyebrows at Natalie, full of provocation.
