"She likes you, and you're aware of that," Evelyn thought that Phoebe must have expressed her feelings to Aidan before, and he rejected her, which was why she came to her.
Aidan snorted, "Likes me? Who knows if this is a scheme concocted by the Irvine family? They would do anything to achieve their goals."
Is the Irvine family really that bad?

"Aidan, how dare you say that about my brother? What has he done?" Phoebe couldn't stand it. In the Irvine family, she had a better relationship with her brother Craig, so she naturally couldn't tolerate anyone defaming him.
Aidan glanced at her. "What has he done? You should ask what he hasn't done."

However, Phoebe stepped forward to stop them, mainly blocking Aidan. "I didn't know you had such strong opinions about the Irvine family before. I thought you just simply didn't like me. Now I know, so I won't give up."
"I will prove to you that the Irvine family is not as bad as you think, at least not everyone is like that."
