Chapter 1255: You Agreed
Lydia was the kind of girl who just said whatever popped into her head. No filter, especially around Craig. She wasn't about to play games or hide stuff.
She didn't give a damn what kind of guy Craig was; if she liked him, that was all that mattered.
Craig just stared at her, sipping his drink. "But I'm not into you."
"Why? Is it 'cause I'm not as hot as Ruby? Or you think I'm not as good as her?" Lydia was baffled. Ruby was with Alex now, and Craig had zero chance. Why was he still hung up on her? Didn't he get tired of it?
Craig kept drinking, his eyes wandering over to Ruby and Alex. Ruby had her head on Alex's shoulder, and even though Craig told himself to move on, it still hurt like hell.
Lydia noticed and waved her hand in front of his face. "Dude, stop staring. No matter how long you look, she’s never gonna be yours."
Craig felt a pang of discomfort and shot her a glare.
"Craig, I'm serious. I really like you. You need to move on. Don't they say the best way to get over someone is time and a new fling? You need a new fling right now." Lydia wasn't about to let this chance slip by.
If Dermot hadn't proposed today, she probably wouldn't have even seen Craig.
If she didn't spill her guts now, who knew when she'd see him again.
Honestly, Craig had never met a chick like Lydia before, and it was kinda overwhelming.
Normally, he could just blow her off and leave, but Dermot was his buddy, and he couldn't just bail.
He looked at her, a bit annoyed. "I don't need a new fling. Don't waste your time on me."
"How would you know if you don't give it a shot? Or are you planning to pine over Ruby forever?"
Lydia's voice was dripping with sarcasm. "If you're really that stubborn, then I totally misjudged you. I don't dig guys who live in the past and refuse to move on."
"That kind of talk won't work on me," Craig scoffed, totally unfazed by her words.
Lydia pouted and kept going, "Craig, just give it a try. Ruby's moved on. What's the point of you staying stuck?"
"You really wanna be with me? Even if I don't love you, it doesn't matter?" Craig was kinda moved by her persistence.
Ruby had moved on, and he was still stuck. How pathetic.
He should be a carefree guy.
Hearing this, Lydia felt a glimmer of hope and quickly nodded. "Yes, I wanna be with you. Even if you don't love me now, it doesn't matter."
Just 'cause Craig didn't love her now didn't mean he wouldn't in the future.
Lydia was confident. She believed that if Craig gave it a shot, he'd definitely fall for her.
She wasn't stunning, but there was no reason Craig wouldn't love her.
Craig downed another glass of wine, glanced at Ruby again, and maybe feeling a bit provoked, he nodded.
"You agreed?" Lydia couldn't believe it.
"Yeah, but I don't love you. You gotta be clear on that," Craig, not wanting any drama, felt the need to lay it out.
Lydia didn't care about that, "So now, you're my boyfriend, right?"
