Chapter 82 Evelyn, You Have Passed
"Okay." Evelyn nodded and agreed.
It was just attending a banquet that she didn't think there was any problem with it. Besides, she could use this opportunity to repay Keith's favor, so why not.
Keith smiled, feeling good, "Good night, sweet dreams."
Evelyn got out of the car and waved at him as she walked towards the apartment. She quickly disappeared from Keith's sight.
Keith didn't rush to leave.
There are so many stars tonight, he sighed.
A car approached. He redirected his gaze and looked toward the oncoming vehicle.
Dermot didn't even get out of the car. He lowered the car window and sneered, "
"Are you always waiting for me downstairs every time you bring her back?"
"Of course," Keith didn't deny, his eyebrows raised, "After all, you unhappy makes me happy!"
Dermot felt dead.
"But, you came a bit late today. I send Evelyn home and within ten minutes, you always show up. It has been twenty minutes today," Keith said.
Dermot felt like he was crazy.
"Is it amusing?"
Dermot asked him, calmer than before, "Evelyn doesn't like you, and you can't provoke my anger anymore. Don't you realize that you are now like a clown?"
The longer Dermot knew Evelyn, the more certain he became that Keith wasn't her type.
Keith's nonchalant appearance disappeared, replaced by an icy coldness, "Maybe she doesn't like me now, but at least she doesn't hate me."
"Dermot, by clinging to her like this, you are the real clown, aren't you?"
Keith's knives were just as sharp as Dermot's. they were ready to fight.
"You don't understand what it means to love deeply and hate passionately, do you? The more she hates me, the more it shows that she has me. Do you understand?" Dermot said.
Keith sneered, "Are you sure?"
"Of course," Dermot nodded.
"Huh."
A light laughter sounded in the dark night, and Evelyn hadn't expected to hear such ridiculous words when she came downstairs to find food.
Dermot's hand holding the steering wheel tightened instantly, and his scalp exploded as he stared at the woman who walked out of the shadows.
Evelyn had already arrived in front of them. She didn't look at Keith but instead looked at Dermot, her gaze cold, "Dermot, you are so narcissistic and arrogant."
"I..."
"Who gave you the courage to say that I have you in my heart?" She was about to burst out laughing.
Dermot's face became terrible.
But this made Evelyn angrier. "Dermot, do you think that all women in the world like you? Do you even think about the fact that if you didn't have a few bucks, which women would be interested in you? You think too highly of yourself."
Dermot's expression became even more unpleasant, and Keith on the side wanted to applaud Evelyn. It was the first time he had seen Dermot being scolded so badly.
More importantly, Dermot hadn't even started to argue back. It was so satisfying.
"Evelyn, you've crossed the line!" Dermot suppressed his anger and looked at her in the eye.
Even if what he said earlier was wrong, did this woman have to speak so harshly? He had never been insulted this way in his life!
However, Evelyn seemed oblivious to the anger in his eyes and continued, "Have I crossed the line? I don't think so!"
"I just want to make it clear to you that not every woman is interested in you, at least not me, Evelyn!"
"What if she is your ex-wife? It doesn't mean we have any relationship between us. Please stay away from me, Mr. Doyle!"
