Chapter 74 Won't Give Up

In her heart, there was also helplessness.

She sighed and turned away.

In the living room, Evelyn had a serious expression as she tapped her fingers on the keyboard. Soon, all the information about the Barns family appeared in front of her.
She looked through the documents, her face heavy.

Just as Dermot had said, the Barns family and the Ackers family were not on the same level. It wouldn't be easy to deal with them.

However, she wouldn't give up.

If anyone dared to lay a hand on her, Evelyn, they should be prepared to face retaliation.

At the Barns family villa, Kenny once again dialed his father's phone. "Dad, what is Dermot up to?"

"How would I know that woman is involved with him," Kenny muttered, and then said, "Besides, I didn't do anything to that woman."

"Fine, fine, just go and ask him quickly. If you don't let me out soon, I'll go crazy."

After hanging up the phone, Kenny thought for a moment and felt that it wasn't safe enough, so he dialed another number.

After a while, an annoyed voice came from the other end of the phone, "Do you have a good reason for calling me lately?"

"Sis, please come back and save me," Kenny said with a sob in his voice, looking as pitiful as possible.

Natalie Barns was awakened by the noise. At first, she was a little annoyed, but when she heard her brother's sobbing voice, she immediately became serious. "What happened?"

Kenny didn't hide anything from her and explained the whole situation. Then he said, "Dermot won't let me leave now. He's keeping me confined!"

"You deserve it!"

Natalie gritted her teeth in anger, hating her brother for his stubbornness. "I warned you a long time ago not to focus all your attention on women. You'll suffer sooner or later, and you just wouldn't listen."

"Sis..." Kenny sounded even more aggrieved.

"Alright, I'll come back tomorrow. Until then, you better not provoke him," Natalie advised.

Despite being dissatisfied with her brother in many ways, after all, they were siblings and she couldn't just ignore him completely.

Besides, she also wanted to see what kind of woman could make Dermot so angry.

With her words, Kenny breathed a sigh of relief. "With your relationship with Dermot, as long as you say so, he won't pursue it any further."

"I'm hanging up." With that, Natalie hung up the phone.

Kenny chuckled and then thought of Evelyn. His face turned ugly again. "Damn bitch! Wait until my sister comes back and see if Dermot still has the time to deal with you. Then..."

Moris City Airport.

Evelyn stood at the arrival gate, with a crowd of people in front of her. Soon, she spotted the people she was waiting for.

"Aidan, Niall." She waved at the two of them.

Upon hearing her voice, the two men walked towards her.

"Didn't I tell you not to come to pick us up? Why did you still come?" Aidan spoke, his tone gentle but with a hint of reproach.

Evelyn Marina knew that Aidan didn't want her to be bothered.

"Anyway, I don't have anything to do today, so I'll come to pick you up and we can have a meal together."

"Okay," Aidan nodded and didn't say anything more.

The three of them walked towards the parking lot outside the airport. Niall didn't say a word throughout the way, which made Evelyn unable to resist looking at him. "Niall, what's wrong with you?"

"I'm fine," Niall shook his head.

But Evelyn didn't quite believe him.

However, she didn't press further. After all, they were all adults and everyone had their own secrets, even if they were siblings, they still needed some distance.

"Aidan, Niall, what are you going to do abroad this time? Why are you staying for so long?" she opened the car door and asked casually.

Aidan looked at Niall upon hearing this, who had a worried expression on his face. Aidan could only say, "It's nothing. Just some business matters."
