Chapter 459 Do You Understand the Mission?
"Mr. Doyle, I also found out that this Luke joined Ms. Kyte's company," Todd reported truthfully.
He found this matter strange and naturally wanted to mention it to Dermot. Hearing this, Dermot's face grew even darker. No wonder Evelyn asked like that last night, probably because she saw Luke and thought they looked alike, so she asked about it.
"Should we let Ms. Kyte know? I'm worried the other party has bad intentions," Todd reminded.
Dermot nodded, "I will talk to her, let's go to the company first." Todd didn't say anything more and started the car, heading towards the company.
In Colombia, the Kyte family. Dora had a cold face as she looked at the woman in front of her,
"Do you understand the tasks I gave you?"
"Yes." The woman nodded. If Evelyn were here, she would have recognized the woman, the one who had defeated her but didn't kill her.
"Only success is allowed, no failures," Dora reminded. She would never give Evelyn a chance to return to the Kyte family. The woman turned and left the study. Although she found Evelyn quite interesting, it didn't stop her from wanting her life.
On the other side of Colombia, lived the Baker family. Lassie looked at her grandfather lying on the sickbed, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Grandpa, you will be fine for sure."
"Don't cry, I'm not dead yet," Grandpa Doyle scolded her.
Lassie quickly wiped the corner of her eye, as if she had suddenly thought of something, she quickly said, "Grandpa, I know a very skilled neurosurgeon, I want you to give it a try, okay?"
"Lassie, my condition is very serious..."
"It's fine, I'm glad Lassie has mentioned this, let her give it a try," Grandpa Doyle didn't care about the doctor, he cared about his granddaughter's deep respect and love for him.
Seeing her grandfather agree, Lassie immediately smiled, "Good, I'll bring her back to Colombia to perform the surgery for you!"
With that, she walked out of the ward, leaving the Baker family behind, and boarded the earliest flight to Morris City. The highly skilled neurosurgeon she mentioned was, of course, Evelyn.
Due to Dermot's relationship, she had investigated Evelyn before, so she knew how capable she was. Although her grandfather had been seen by famous doctors in Colombia, Lassie was not willing to give up. She would rather place her hope in Evelyn than resign herself to fate.
As the sky darkened, Evelyn finished her charity work and returned home. Just like yesterday, Dermot's door was still open, and there was no need to guess that he had prepared a meal for her.
Why did this feel a little like a husband cooking at home? Thinking of this, she couldn't help but laugh. Dermot came out of the room and what he saw was Evelyn's smiling face.
"What's making you so happy?"
"Nothing much, I just think you look like a family cook now."
Especially with Dermot wearing an apron at the moment. Dermot looked down at the apron he was wearing and couldn't help but laugh.
"Not like, I actually am. Have you eaten?" the man asked, looking at Evelyn with anticipation.
Evelyn shook her head, "If I say I've eaten, won't you feel uncomfortable?"
Dermot smiled bitterly and didn't deny it, "So, did you purposely starve yourself to make me feel better?"
"You're thinking too much. I just got home and haven't had a chance to eat yet," Evelyn didn't want to admit it, although that's exactly what she had thought. Dermot didn't argue with her and made a gesture of invitation.
"Come in and have dinner, I've prepared everything."
"Since you're so enthusiastic, I can't refuse. I'll reluctantly accept it then," Evelyn said, walking into Dermot's house.
